The ultimate mobile rig would be a phone and a Roli Lightpad - one device in each pocket of your jeans. Connect via Bluetooth and you're away! No cables, just total portable freedom (until the batteries run out).

I'm with Bones on this one - a phone's a "phone" and there's only one type of phone (which those amongst us old enough to remember called a "smartphone" back in the day - ah, those sweet, bygone days of youth )
I’m old enough to remember my grandparents had a “party line”. Essentially a single phone line openly shared with others. At any given time, one could pick up the home phone landline and hear someone else having a conversation. It was old school and bizarre, but things like this really existed back in the early eighties.

Some people have so much time on their hands. I get bored trying to set those f**king things up to do shit like that. I don't see the point.

He's paid to do a Roli demo. But its a good example of mobile minimalism.

There's having a mobile production and then there's having a mobile studio.

I'd remove the second row captains chairs and put in a cabinet for more guitars.
Plenty of room for a desktop and peripherals in the overhead cabinets. You can always install a secondary or third monitor as a drop down or arch around.

It's rated for one week of dry docking (no outside power/water connections) Love's (gas station chain) has overnight full hookups starting at $35 US. If you are traveling most states have Rest Stops (not the same as truck stops) that allow for 3 hour parking but usually will let you overnight for free. While many cities have started to enforce no overnight parking.

I've traveled most of the Continental US with the exception of the North East by auto. I love a good road trip. What better way to end a day on the open road than in a complete studio.

What I enjoy about road trips is getting aw from my normal routine, studio included.
