Thanks. Somehow I missed this post. Quite excited for Massive X updates. It is indeed one of the best sounding synths out there.

(I also noted in the same post that new Kontakt 8 browser may not come to Komplete Kontrol software soon, which is a bit disappointing since I am itching Komplete Kontrol software to get back the drag and drop (samples/loops) feature that was dropped in version 3.)

A decent Massive X update, the mooted Maschine 3 and the new Kontakt update may even get me to upgrade Komplete! (although I think Maschine is out of that eco-system?)

It seems that Kontakt, Maschine und Massive X are the main focus. No future for Battery and Reaktor. Good (business) decision in my opinion.

X is one of (if not) the best sounding synths ever,but no wt import ,no interest here.
Is there plans for upgrading this,will make it buy now for a lot of producers...?

No news on that front.

I would say to all producers: first try to have fun with 170 factory wavetables and all the wavetable mangling modes (which all do extremely interesting things, in many cases unavailable in any other synth) before exhausting sonic palette that they offer.

Yes, we have big plans for Massive X. The synth engine is second to none, but customers tell us it's really hard to use - particularly as a new user, it can be overwhelming.

I expect the routing and performer pages are what's confusing people the most. It would be a shame if they dumbed it down. I've never had an issue with the interface or the workflow, it's actually quite straightforward. I guess a lot of beatmakers who bought Komplete for the samples didn't like it.

The fact he didn't even mention Massive X in his quarterly statement suggests any new version of the synth is a long way away. The only things I really want are a better preset system and a fix for the lag. Give me those and I'm happy.

Improved usability and (hopefully) better GUI responsiveness would be awesome for Massive X. I do agree that the workflow is not that complicated but it certainly feels antiquated.
However that updates/bugfixes they promise for battery are a few years too late imo, I've moved over to TAL Drum now which is simply better in every aspect.

Agreed, I love the GUI and architecture, no need to change. I hope they just improve the browser and the loading time.

you dont need wavetable import, the synth is very complex as it is already

I'm thinking from Simon's (NI Chief Product Officer) hints in the Community Update thread, that Massive X will soon "evolve" to be under the Kontakt 8 umbrella via new "non-sampler" capabilities and the Komplete Toolkit to rebuild the UI.

This will effectively bring direct integration of Massive X with the Kontrol S3 keyboards. Bring it on ASAP!

Eh? Adding a mode in Kontakt to make working with simple one-shot samples easier is a very different thing to adding completely unrelated non-sampling capabilities. One actually makes sense, the other doesn't really.

Eh, a bloated Kontakt isn't something I'm looking forward to. Keeping the synth stuff under Reaktor and developing that would be my preference.
