VST:
This request is made in order to control VSTs more easily from any controller.
I would like a button next to the RCh field called "auto learn" that when pressed will toggle the ability to select a VST parameter by moving an element on the GUI, and linking it to the next MIDI CC recieved. You could then select another VST parameter and assign a new MIDI CC until the mode is toggled off.
EDIT:
this is a more elegant (IMHO) implementaion of this FR in the VST section:
"CC Map - in the controller map object of the synth that if I turn a button on the synth it would select that controller ...that would be much faster than searching for the cutoff, as in many synths there are so many controllers, for live performance its cool to map controllers real fast(Posting)

I have an impression that, this cannot be done. AFAIK, most VSTs will not send MIDI messages when you tweak the parameters in the GUI. Thus the host actually cannot detect what controls you are tweaking in the GUI.

No one's asking them to send midi.KLG wrote:I have an impression that, this cannot be done. AFAIK, most VSTs will not send MIDI messages when you tweak the parameters in the GUI. Thus the host actually cannot detect what controls you are tweaking in the GUI.
What's being asked for is that the VST parameter is registered by the host when manipulated.
This is possible.
In Muzys you can tweak a control on a VST gui and then use that to assign a controller or the next controller received etc.. I imagine quite a few hosts work that way.
This idea sounds like a good one to quickly midi-up a plug-in.

but please keep the ccmap too, it's an easy way to see what is assigned and what is not.

Agreed. This is just a super efficient way to setup your midi controller to control the VST.silicon/silicium wrote:but please keep the ccmap too, it's an easy way to see what is assigned and what is not.
PS. The Polac VST loader in Buzz has this exact implenetation.
