Found a cool use for Equalizer -- put it in feedback loops to keep resonance from building up too much.
I've got something going now with Bitwig Delay+, with Uhbik-P, Pitchproof and Equalizer in the feedback loop. The phaser feedback is set high with very slow modulation, Pitchproof is shifting by +1 semitone but mostly dry, and Equalizer is stopping it from blowing up.

^Good idea!
You can be creative in any right place on Earth, and not only in the wealthiest cities. Bring the world feelings from everywhere, and not only feelings of capitalistic or jail environment.

What's the CPU when nesting inside devices?foosnark wrote: ↑Thu Jul 27, 2023 7:37 pm Found a cool use for Equalizer -- put it in feedback loops to keep resonance from building up too much.

TBH I rarely pay attention to CPU since I tend to use a combination of hardware and software, so the software doesn't have to work as hard.
But it shouldn't be any more than it is not nested

I don't have a very powerful machine, but a 4-core i5 is sufficient for basic work, but using this EQ in a mastering chain of 2-4 plugins as the first in line completely locks up my CPU freezing the entire session. That's why I didn't buy this plugin, staying with Gulffoss and Teote which are friendlier to my capabilities.

just tried it on a full mix for the first time this morning and quite liked it. unfortunately the introductory price is no longer.... will shoot it out some more against smooth operator which does a similar job, but I liked the immediacy of equalizer.

You can buy my license for the introductory price, if you like. I'm not that happy with it on my own projects.unfortunately the introductory price is no longer..

I haven't experienced any performance issues with it, not during recording on individual channels, nor when mastering.
When mastering I was a little surprised to not that in every case, I preferred Equalizer over TEOTE. While I do usually have to reduce the action on the high frequencies to stop it from boosting more than I like, I didn't feel the need to EQ them down afterwards like I usually did with Gulfoss.

thanks, but after further testing I realized that, while I dig the workflow in equalizer, I can get almost everything I want from smooth operator... and I find that equalizer can sound a bit fluttery at times which I didn't notice with smooth operator (most likely because it's easier and quicker to overdo things in equalizer I guess - which can be a blessing and a curse).
the cool thing about smooth operator is, that I can start with a brown noise curve instead of pink noise for a more mellow and deep sound.... (but then again I guess the tilt feature would be the same thing.. turn it ccw and it should go into brown noise territory)
anyway.. long story short... I'll keep using smooth operator for now... using the equalizer demo and doing shootouts now has rekindled my love for this plug-in.
Still equalizer is VERY cool and has some exciting features.....

Are these bands mixed phase or linear phase?wavesfactory wrote: ↑Thu Jul 06, 2023 2:35 am The plugin works by dividing the incoming signal into 32 bands.

Hi guys!
Version 1.0.2 of Equalizer with major improvements and new long-waited features:
- Sidechain functionality.
- HQ mode, with "offline only" option. You can select it from the burger menu.
- Flat phase response (removed the DC offset protection).
- The label values stay on display after you type them in, as requested by a user on this thread.
As always, the update is free and can be done via the plugin itself clicking on the spinning update icon.
Any comments appreciated!

Hi there, thanks for the new version. However, pressing the side chain crashes Ableton.wavesfactory wrote: ↑Tue Oct 15, 2024 6:31 am Hi guys!
