They are closing the hard copy version. Digital will continue. I think it's a good decision since almost everything is on digital platform nowadays. Those who love a real magazine they will miss it. I am one of those.

I'm surprised any of these magazines still exist at all with the information freely available across the internet as it is. That said, I bought this magazine from issue 4 (in 1999) to 61 back in the day. Really helped getting started finding out about music technology, so it's nice nostalgia.

I found out about KVR through CM.

It is sad about the print version closing. Wonder how that will work with library archives? Things like the British Library have copies of most of the magazines ever published.
I used to be Bunnyboy many many years ago

I don't think even digital magazine in continuing....

It's a shame, even the final print issue has a "Next Issue" section at the back of the magazine, even if it doesn't list a print date this time.

I have been unable to find a local high street retailer who stocks CM this month ...

Digital can never replace a a real mag. I haven't read a CM mag for years now but I'm very thankful it existed. Without it I would never started. I didn't know it was possible making music with a pc.

I still have this though I'm sure I couldn't get anything authorized

I would think that it is a valuable brand name to sell to a music distributer so they can compete with landr ... I just rcieved my notice today that they are giving me credit for my subscription but not my money back. I can buy back issues where I may not have the abilty to use the software or different magazines and they say I get a month free of the total service. I am in a good mood that they updated the cm bundle and got me alot of new synths before that happened. You still have the english version of beat magazine not to be confused with beat magazine. landr's is a little higher priced at $10 a month with some excusive stuff... sad to see computer music magazine go.

looks like they are taking the back issues of computer magazine off of pocket magazines in nov of 2025. not that happy about that idea I was hoping that I would have access forever.

I will miss the freebies. I bought DUNE because of DUNE LE.

Guess I'd better get on FileSilo this weekend to download and backup the CM goodies I've amassed over the years.

R.I.P. Computer Music, you will certainly be missed.
