Why they discontinued Sound Canvas VA?
WHY???

It was the only method they have left to pi55 of cloud users more...they tried not giving you more, now trying taking stuff away!

What's wild is the Sound Canvas Pianos especially the ones from the SC88 Pro in the Sound Canvas plugin sounded better in a track than Earth Piano does

I might be stupid here, but I simply can not figure out how to use the XV-5080 Sky House patch collection in Roland Cloud. When you buy it you get the message:

"Add the XV-5080 to a track and click the LIST button to access the new kits and patterns"

But... there is no such button? Nor is it listed anywhere in the banks, and nothing is installed in the VST3 preset directory.

(Also: I know the XV5080 doesn't get much love but it *really* needs an update, the patch browser at the very least...)

Yes, besides updating features of the browser itself, I'd like if I could keep a Bank or Category window open, and then be able to click on other buttons if needed. I could then turn off Reverb or MFX, enable Legato or Portamento, etc.

There is no "list" button. to assess the "Sky" stuff, click directly on the patch name on the front screen. if you clicked in the right spot. a list then appears as a dropdown with the various banks and "sky" stuff is the last of the banks. hope that works for you!

So is Roland Cloud dead or something? when was the last time there was an actual new instrument?

We got the Earth Piano (which frankly is kind of bad and just a Piano) a month or so ago, before that it was over two years

They phoned it in with Earth Piano just to have something new.

Good grief. So no JP8000? no JD990? no V-Synth or Variphrase stuff?

It is listed in the Banks when you open the Browser via the Banks button for me. If it isn't there, something went wrong.

Oh, thanks, so I tried downloading something for the JV-1080 instead and it *did* show up in the banks, like you said it should (and funny/sad enough, instead of telling you to look for a LIST button, for the JV-1080 Roland Cloud tells you to look for a PATCH button which doesn't exist either, now come on Roland...)

So, yeah, for whatever reason installing the sky patches for the XV-5080 through Roland Cloud is simply not working for me I guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Nope, it does on the JV-1080 but I only see the built in patches on the XV-5080 unfortunately.

Nope. It wouldn't surprise me if re-installing Roland Cloud would fix it, what with how many years it's been installed on this computer by now, but at this point I really can't be bothered anymore. I'm satisfied with knowing there at least isn't some magic button on the XV-5080 that I was missing.

wow, that's wierd. when i click on the patch name on my 5080 all the patches show up on a drop down list. i'm gonna go check my JV...

hey victoria, so it works for me on 5080, D50, jv 1080, and also inside zenology. sorry you are having trouble. btw i went
through the "sky" bank and its nothing to write home about. mine didn't come with any patterns though.
