Just trying the demo version of GForce OB-1 and it turns out that it is one of their synths that doesnt go on about MPE in the marketing, but does actually work with 2 dimensions of MPE:
MPE pressure works the same as their poly aftertouch support in this synth, and there is a 'Poly Pitch Bend' in the settings screen which enables that dimension of per-note expression too. And you can set the pitch bend range to 48 in a preset and then press the padlock icon next to it so that this setting stays the same when loading other patches.

Anyma V supports MPE. Demo version available, which I shall be trying and will report back. Especially keen to try this one because its physical modelling, so not just more of the same. I dont have experience with the hardware version.

Sounds harsh, rough, chaotic... seems like it could benefit from some pitch bend.

I cant get the current demo version working on any platform/standalone/DAW combination that I have tried yet. Will keep trying. If anyone succeeds with the current version, please report your working setup.

The downloads for Anyma V have been updated to fix the issue with demo mode (now version 1.2.1 instead of 1.2.0), though I havent quite had a chance to try it yet.

The dev has said there is still an activation issue on some windows machines, and to wait for announcement, I went ahead and tried the mac version in demo mode and I love it very much so far.

Have you had any issues with strange pitch glides with Poly Pitch Bend turned on?SteveElbows wrote: Tue Jul 09, 2024 1:27 pm Just trying the demo version of GForce OB-1 and it turns out that it is one of their synths that doesnt go on about MPE in the marketing, but does actually work with 2 dimensions of MPE:

It only does it for me with poly greater than 12.
If I take the init patch, set poly 16 and play notes then every so often I get a strange quick glide to the correct pitch. Even with PB turned off on the linnstrument I get these strange glides.
Set it to 12 or less poly and everything works well.

Sorry to say I havent tried going above 12, but it really wouldnt surprise me if there were bugs in that respect.BobDog wrote: Sun Jul 28, 2024 5:48 am Have you had any issues with strange pitch glides with Poly Pitch Bend turned on?

u-he ACE, Bazille, Diva and Hive versions with MPE support are now out of beta.
Their focus so far has been on having MPE work well with polyphonic presets, so expect issues if you try to use MPE in their synths with various sorts of monophonic presets.

Arturia Synthx V support MPE. I havent had a chance to try it properly yet, but I note that Arturia have changed the UI/workflow for how modulation sources are mapped to destinations, including MPE sources. MPE Y/Slide (CC74) has been elevated to first class citizen rather than assignment of that source lurking in a dropdown or two in the settings page as is the case with current versions of their other V Collection synths that support MPE.

Following on from Expressive E's previous dabbling with partnerships (Phase Plant), they now have another 'EE MPE certified' thing, this time targeting Hive 2 which gained MPE support earlier this year. Purchasing options include Hive 2 + all the presets in one bundle, or just the 3 preset packs in a bundle, or the packs individually.
I am likely to buy these presets later today and will offer some thoughts on them sometime in the coming days:

It'll be interesting to hear if the patches actually treat Y and Z as different dimensions, instead of their "Y when you run out of Z" Osmose-friendly style.SteveElbows wrote: Wed Oct 16, 2024 2:34 pm Following on from Expressive E's previous dabbling with partnerships (Phase Plant), they now have another 'EE MPE certified' thing, this time targeting Hive 2 which gained MPE support earlier this year.

Where I struggle if the MPE patches treat Y as an axis where you have fine-control over and going the full range changes the sound drastically. If you have a Roli Seaboard or similar, no problem to control Y that way. On the LinnStrument though it's very difficult to control Y and those MPE patches sound awful when I play them.Rimwolf wrote: Wed Oct 16, 2024 10:51 pmIt'll be interesting to hear if the patches actually treat Y and Z as different dimensions, instead of their "Y when you run out of Z" Osmose-friendly style.SteveElbows wrote: Wed Oct 16, 2024 2:34 pm Following on from Expressive E's previous dabbling with partnerships (Phase Plant), they now have another 'EE MPE certified' thing, this time targeting Hive 2 which gained MPE support earlier this year.
The problem is, you would use the MPE dimensions differently if you design the patch for a LinnStrument / Ableton Push 3 or for a Roli Seaboard or an Osmose Expressive E.

Oh and there is indeed one new MPE synth: u-he did release a Repro-5 beta yesterday, which added MPE support (and two more mod matrix slots, so you can use them to make existing patches MPE): viewtopic.php?p=8980343
If I'm allowed to be a fanboy: Since I got Repro-1 and Repro-5 this year, its become my favorite synth for just noodling around and "enjoying" the sound. It's simple, characterful, opinionated and the sound somehow just fits my liking. Check out this preset pack:
Konstantin Klemm is not just a great sound designer, he also plays a Push 3 MPE and since that is so similar to the LinnStrument - his MPE patches (not for Repro yet) actually work well for the LinnStrument, too.
