Just ordered bela Gliss because control.
Also have tendrils stackable cables coming because I ran out of cables.
I have decided on bright, multicolored cables to contrast with the mostly back modules and because they should be easier to follow than single color cables.

Looking for a small battery powered synth to go with a Move or an Op-X. Any suggestions? Volca FM 2 and S-1 Aira seem like the best options.

I’m hoping they add Operator and Meld. I don’t know that they will, but Operator should have been a lock because of how much range FM can cover.Double Tap wrote: Thu Oct 17, 2024 8:45 pm Looking for a small battery powered synth to go with a Move or an Op-X. I would hold off on a Volca FM until you know Operator can’t be added.
As for S1 Aira, if you like it, there’s no reason not to have it. I personally want to keep Move free from other similar devices. I do plan on occasionally sampling from Syntakt, or sampling from Euorack, but otherwise I’d like to clean out the presets I don’t like and then make my own (except no custom wavetable synth presets yet).

Not sure yet if I’ll keep the Move. It’s nicely intuitive and quite playable, but it’s not as small as I’d like and I haven’t discovered any great sound design capabilities although maybe that’s just my lack of skills. Design and upload is a good option though.elxsound wrote: Thu Oct 17, 2024 9:22 pmI’m hoping they add Operator and Meld. Not a lack of skills, It’s not a sound design device because you are limited to macro controls as setup for that preset.Double Tap wrote: Thu Oct 17, 2024 9:39 pmNot sure yet if I’ll keep the Move. If you’re creating the preset in live, you can define your macros.
Move is more sketchpad and sampler than anything else. They also haven’t said much about what they’d like to do for the future. There are a few extra shift options that don’t light up, but are clearly there so I imagine more functionality will come, but when or what is anyone’s guess for now.

Yeah that’s why I’m leaning towards getting a small hardware synth - I think the Move could be a decent performance tool but it needs that extra bit of tweakability to make it properly fun. There’s a load of small devices out there that look good enough but I haven’t really had a chance to have a go at any of them, at least not with any intention behind it.elxsound wrote: Thu Oct 17, 2024 10:04 pm

Switched over my eurorack delay duties to a Xoac Devices Sarajewo in my modular grid. Not cheap, but that was the reason I went with the Behringer case so I could splurge on modules. Also added vpme.de Euclidean Circles v2 because of videos I watched and Pam is getting full!

Same! I wasn’t going to ask in that last video. Me wanting to drop Bruxa in vs their lack of water meant I could wait as long as it takes.
Tomorrow’s video seems promising

Indeed...
I'm not a musician, but I've designed sounds that others use to make music. http://soundcloud.com/obsidiananvil

Teaming up the Polyend Play I just got with the modular, via a MIDI to CV module, is proving to be a lot of fun. It has a good bunch of randomisation options though one very annoying feature is there doesn’t seem to be a way to prevent it from randomising the MIDI channels each note uses and I just want tracks 1 to 8 to stay fully mapped to their same number channel. Maybe it’ll eventually be handled by firmware as an option.
