UVI Falcon 3

I'm running the latest Falcon 3.1.0 (and I've installed the Tag Library). For some reason, some patches appear twice or even three times in the redesigned search browser and this is very confusing. This was also the case for me in the previous version of Falcon.
Is there a way to "reset the database" of Falcon in order to reindex everything from scratch? Thanks.

Some patch are there multiple time because they appears in multiple location in the soundbank.
You can remove the db but you will lose all your favorite

You should have clicked Remind me later, but I agree, we should add an option to reset this choice.AcidMoon wrote: Thu Oct 17, 2024 6:32 pm If you say 'No' to a download related to Audio Previews (or Preset Tags), you will never see that popup again. This needs to be added.
Still you can still just download it manualy in Portal

Try portal.uvi.netrasmusklump wrote: Thu Oct 17, 2024 7:12 pm Where can I download that tag library without the portal?
My studio pc is offline and my internet pc 32 bit. I can't use the portal.

Great addition but there are issues right now. Bass is not a choice for Instrument here, but as soon as I choose Synth, I get Bass as a sub category of synth. That's an annoying limitation on searching for bass sounds, it should be the other way around, period. In fact bass is only a category in "synth", every other category doesn't include bass, but selecting World Suite3 for instance first and typing Search for Bass, I get 84 hits... ugh. Searching by typing Bass I get 999 results.. How does such a basic macro category of searching get missed?

Here's another hopefully constructive criticism. Timbre can be monophonic and digital, most of the time when I'm searching for both of those things I want the sound to include both tags, i.e. it should not include polyphonic digital sounds. Multiple Timbre selecting should narrow the search not widen it. NI do it this way and it's awful, Arturia narrow the search and it's lovely.

This looks awesome!! Thanks so much.
A couple questions:
1. Can we make user-created tags?
2. Can we tag user-created patches?

I hope this means there’s an oscillator / sound source browser on the way some day…

It looks like it uses an sqlite database so if you find the database file, you may be able to connect to it and clear out the duplicates, but it requires SQL expertise. If you"re not familiar with SQL, I'd reach out to support, but it looks like it's possible.avinashmeetoo wrote: Thu Oct 17, 2024 8:41 pm I'm running the latest Falcon 3.1.0 (and I've installed the Tag Library). Will third party presets be able to tag their stuff (I know up to now I can't favourite third party presets which is a huge damper for me)

Apparently v3.1 added an ARP Odyssey filter:
VCF-4023
A virtual analog emulation of the ARP 4023 VCF circuit (as found in ARP Odyssey rev1) featuring OTA saturation and self-oscillation.
