The word 'monster' is of course an actual word that is in the dictionary, not a name they made up. Have they been successful in any of these suits? What was the result of them taking on Disney?
Who next? The people who make Monster Munch?

Analogue or digital – which is better? There's only one way to find out... FI-I-IGHT!!!

They've been selling voodoo and lies to the gullible for long enough. It doesn't surprise me that they're branching out into extortion.

Sorry repeating the point Lunch Money made about a year ago.

Over here in germany this simply could not happen.
Everybody and his mum could afford a "Rechtsschutzversicherung", some insurance protecting you in such cases. It's cheap and you will get a free lawyer, should anything stupid like this ever happen to you. There's not a single company without such an insurance.
Apart from that, the US laws are just plain sick, nothing else. Over here (and probably all over in europe) nobody would even think about such actions - unless they wanted to go bankrupt as fast as possible.
However, what a bunch of c**ts they are!
I mean, they're not protecting anything - they're just a bunch of greedy f**kers.
They can stick they're ridiculously overpriced cables where they belong: Up their poor little dirty asses!

F@cking disgusting
I've never actually bought from them, but now you can guarantee that I won't EVER buy from scum like this.
I think that everyone should distribute this so that as many people as possible know this and avoid them like the plague.
Absolute cXnts

I thought it is call monster cable because it was found by "Herman Monster" until I read their company info. Or was it "Munster". Well, misleading enough.

I am literally, physically SICK from reading that article!!! I can't believe it...
But I'm surprised no one here has mentioned our long-awaited toy from G-Media... NOW it's starting to make sense why we are still waiting!!!!
Is it possible those crooks from "M-word Cable" (word not typed for fear of trademark infringement) have sent threatening letters to G-Media about the upcoming MiniM-word?!?!?
THINK ABOUT IT!!!!

----Word is getting out here and there, people don't like what your company is doing, might consider dropping the nonsense lawsuits/extortionistic approach before the word "boycott" comes up in those (see link above) kinds of discussions. Just an idea, since you seem to have so many lame ones, thought I'd offer a good one, quit now, before people associate the name Monster with questionable business activities, and not "premium" quality audio/video cables.
A concerned consumer.
P.S. Win bonus points, and maybe your own parking spot by passing this idea along to Mr. Tognotti and his corporate masters above. I hear Radio Shack makes a nice over-priced cable or two,and they don't go around dragging people not in the same business as them to court for using the words "radio",or "shack".
----I sent the above email to the Monster cable company, let them know what their customers think of what they are doing,go ahead,or go here http://www.monstercable.com/company_info/contact.asp and send an email to any one of the listed Monster cable officials.
