That pricing for 2checkout is only if you use them for payment, but handle taxes yourself (like Stripe or PayPal). For parity with other "merchant of record" solutions (like MyCommerce, Fastspring) you'll need 2Monetize option, which is more expensive. They don't publish percentage for that tier but they gave as more or less what MyCommerce charged, give or take.

You probably mean PayPro Global?
We never considered this one anyway
FastSpring seems reasonably priced, and good features (documentation is public).
But somehow there's nowhere a sign-up option, only a demo option. Do you have to start from demo??

Thanks for the reminder, it is a typo. Fortunately, we have an active fastspring account and switching to it now!sft234 wrote: Tue Oct 22, 2024 11:13 am You probably mean PayPro Global?

2Checkout have 3 totally different models. The cheapest one is called "2Sell" but that is simply a payment processing systems where you are the seller and you have to account for the taxes in the buyer's country and you have to register and pay the tax to the tax authorities in the buyer's country.
The model that is most common for the kind of thing we do is 2Monetize". This is where they are the MoR and they sell to the customer and they handle all the taxes etc. But that is more expensive. Around 5 or 6% if I remember rightly. A little more expensive than DR

It is scam!!!
We get started on Oct 9 and we received a suspension notice today without specific reason. The people left Skype group and the sales says on vacation till Nov 2. All are suspicous!
Due to external regulations, particular specifications of our business portfolio as outlined by financial institutions, obligations to payment partners and recent supervisory inspections, we will have to stop our cooperation effective immediately.
Your current balance will be withheld for the period of 8 months to cover any possible chargebacks/refunds. You will be able to request remaining funds in June of 2025 (if there will be no chargebacks/refunds exceeding the withheld amount).

I understand that "long-term work" is not an argument now, however, we have been working with PayPro Global since 2010. I personally know Meir (their leader, ideologist and co-founder) well for even longer.zccKlompf wrote: Tue Oct 22, 2024 11:04 am Don't use PayPro Global!

Just in case, I asked if everything okay (they are currently our only payment aggregator).
Everything is ok. Support responded to me immediately.

But still not nice that they stop working immediately without warning and hold the whole balance for 8 months.David2024 wrote: Tue Oct 22, 2024 12:31 pmI am using PayPro Global too, can you please let me know what is your problem with them?jcq wrote: Tue Oct 22, 2024 12:07 pmI'm very surprised as i'm using PayPro and it works fine, support and sale respond in around 1 hours.zccKlompf wrote: Tue Oct 22, 2024 11:04 am Don't use PayPro Global!

What was their sign up like? If it was pretty quick and easy and not much paper work or due diligence then maybe they allow signup pretty quick without checks and then do the checks later and lock up they don't like what they see.

Really appreciated for your reply. Meir started a call with me and helped me fix the issue. It was a mistake.MichaelPh wrote: Tue Oct 22, 2024 12:40 pm

If this is true, we're closer to (unfortunate) resolution than we thought. It’s done.
The new owner has plans to completely shut down operations in November, and the head of HR is lying to employees about the future of company. No severances will be available, and going bankrupt enables the owner to walk away with the money and not pay vendors OR the retention bonuses that were given to select employees.

The clause stating that 'Your current balance will be withheld for the period of 8 months to cover any possible chargebacks/refunds' is indeed a bit excessive. Even PayPal only withholds funds for 180 days, but they are withholding for 240 days.
