We are happy to announce to you our new release: Space Age 555

Image

Space Age 555 is a faithful simulation of the Roland® Chorus Echo™ RE-501 / SRE-555, the bigger brother of the iconic Space Echo™ RE-201, released in the late ‘70s.

The Space Age 555 features multiple delay modes, a spring reverb, and a BBD chorus, making it perfect for creating warm and organic lush echo effects.

We preserved the original “fake” stereo mode, where the outputs of the different unit’s section where split between the left and right channels. Furthermore, we added some extra parameters to fine tune the unit.

This was an ever-increasingly rare "no demo, instant purchase" from me. Glad to see new emulations of old gear [that haven't already been modeled to death by every company and their mother].

And not obnoxiously expensive either, particularly with the discount. Been seeing a few obscure 2 and 3 band EQ's for too much money from some other companies lately. This ended up costing me $29.

No 201, but a 501? I'm in! :hyper:

Ok now it's time for a Memory Man Deluxe

This is really nice. Love the way the age control affects it.

I'm surprised by how loud the noise is on the delay even with the noise at zero, is that how the original unit is? I checked some videos and they didn't seem to be anything like as noisy.

Anyone compared to Luna Lander

Which one? Vintage? Modern? Both? I'd honestly rather have the TT1100 in plugin form. I love mine. The Arturia MemoryMan is ok but really needs an output level knob as the preamp can distort a little too easily and you may need to compensate. The In/Out knobs on the Audiority FX are a Godsend (Lucasend?) and get used a lot here.

In 3…2..1…

Are you working on a Boss BF-2 Flanger? :hihi:

Are you sure it's on zero and not on 5.0 %?

I just purchased Space Age 555 but was given Solidus Randy instead.
Have contacted Audority to let them know about their error. :?

I just got my real 501 back and I'm wondering if I should just sell it now. Of course with the loyalty price I bought this without demoing.

As to the noise, I'll have to check, but the big selling point of the 501/555 was the (for the time) studio quality of the unit, to the point where I've seen 201 advocates call the 501/555 too clean, even sterile. :?

I just heard back from Luca. He says he will replace Solidus with Space Age 555 first thing tomorrow.
Very good of him imho. Thanks Luca ...
