I have vague recollections of suggesting this years and years ago. Never understood why some Melda 'MB' effects had no single-band version.

Because you can make a single band version out of every MB plugin by deleting bands.whyterabbyt wrote: Wed Oct 23, 2024 12:28 pm I have vague recollections of suggesting this years and years ago. Never understood why some Melda 'MB' effects had no single-band version.

Obviously not, if you dont have the MB version.AGIGA wrote: Wed Oct 23, 2024 12:58 pmBecause you can make a single band version out of every MB plugin by deleting bands.whyterabbyt wrote: Wed Oct 23, 2024 12:28 pm I have vague recollections of suggesting this years and years ago. And also contraindicated on basis that most of the other 'classic effect' style plugins that Melda do have been available as single-band versions for 10+ years.

Sure, but why should they add a single band version of all their plugins to their free bundle? This just doesn't make sense from a business perspective. The free bundle already contains 38 plugins.whyterabbyt wrote: Wed Oct 23, 2024 2:46 pmObviously not, if you dont have the MB version.AGIGA wrote: Wed Oct 23, 2024 12:58 pmBecause you can make a single band version out of every MB plugin by deleting bands.whyterabbyt wrote: Wed Oct 23, 2024 12:28 pm I have vague recollections of suggesting this years and years ago. I'll have to check it out. Looks like it has a proper resonant filter inside the feedback for dub delays - still amazes me how many delays don't do this even today, or only allow an LFO over the filter or some other stricture that stops it from doing classic dub. It's a bit workmanlike but I quite like their GUIs - very easy on the eye IMO. Thanks for the heads-up

well, firstly, the fully-featured version of the 'free' bundle is now £40. the feature-restricted demo version is free, but you have to pay to get full functionality.AGIGA wrote: Wed Oct 23, 2024 3:44 pm Sure, but why should they add a single band version of all their plugins to their free bundle? secondly who said it had to be added to the free bundle?
thirdly, by your argument, why add anything to their free bundle?
fourthly, well they literally just added another one, that's what the thread is about ,and they've already added quite a few so your 'sense from a business perspective' is already undermined 20-odd times over.

Is the free bundle restricted? I just bought it a million years ago but I thought it was fully functional and just had a nag screen or banner or something. Just curious!

Advantages of upgrading:
-Change the size and style of the plugins.
-Access the sonogram feature in the analyzers and equalizers.
-Manipulate (save, load, organise) your own presets.
-Access the modulators.
-Use upsampling to minimize aliasing and to improve sound quality (most plugins).
-Get rid of the big red reminder box with our clickable logo at the bottom of every GUI.
-Make us happy and help us develop more free software
The upgrade will be about 25€ on Black Friday.
