Phoronix.com includes that DAW benchmark in their runs.

More results (after compilation benchmarks):

Is that a useful benchmark?

You need to look here: https://openbenchmarking.org/test/pts/stargate
And here: https://github.com/stargatedaw/stargate

Is it useful? As with any performance benchmark, that depends on how well representative the test suite is for common daily usage of said tool. So without looking into what their benchmark project really lets the tool do, no one can answer that question. And there will always be people saying it is too much of this and not enough of that.

But some primary criteria to be useful are:
* freely available
* runs on any system and any OS
* automated (scripted) installation
* capability to run something that can be benched from the command line

And it seems to meet that criteria. There aren't a lot DAWs that meet these criteria.

Yeez, Michael Larabel is really piling on the good stuff.

I guess the first step is checking out that Stargate DAW.
