In-box USB Audio Class 2 + ASIO Driver: Microsoft is developing a new low-latency USB Audio Class 2 driver with ASIO support, optimized specifically for Arm64 systems and Snapdragon processors. Developed in partnership with Yamaha and Qualcomm, this driver will initially launch for Arm64, with x64 support coming later. The driver will be fully integrated into Windows by the end of 2025, offering a seamless plug-and-play experience.
Seems interesting to me. That, and the backwards compatible MIDI 2.0 service, seems like Microsoft is finally resolving some very long standing issues with Windows in respect to audio support.

Yep! I remember reading the several complaints on here, mostly 15 or more years back, over Windows not having native ASIO or enhanced audio support like Mac did. Well, apparently they finally got to it.

It will be interesting to see how it works and if any manufacturers rely on it for future products...

Ok. Will reserve time to do so, unfortunately I do not have USB audiocard... :hihi: in the meantime one can listen to older tracks from my signature ;)

WASAPI exclusive working quite nicely here already (almost similar performance/latency to my soundcard's ASIO driver).
