They were? I don’t remember! I am pretty sure Breaktweaker is not in my account. I own licenses for Iris and Iris 2. I was pretty excited about Iris when it was first released.BBFG# wrote: Wed Oct 23, 2024 9:29 pmBoth were "free with purchase" at Plugin Boutique in the past.Gribs wrote: Wed Oct 23, 2024 7:00 pm Interesting. I don’t own a license for the original; I never caved for one of the ridiculous deals from Izotope. I don’t think Iris is a BT thing, but if he picks up semi-abandonware and makes it better with support I am all for it.
So for the price of a three dollar sound library, it was easy to "cave".
BreakTweaker 2!

This is awesome news! BreakTweaker has been a creative tool that I’ve used and abused for years. It didn’t get anywhere near the amount of attention, in the form of updates, that I believe it deserves.
Now, I hope that BT is able to pick up where he left off with this instrument and hopefully a successor and improvement to Stutter Edit 2 And I’m really happy that he started his own company to release this.
I wish that he would have been in a position to do that from the beginning. I know he will try to make sure that it’s everything that we all hope it will be.

I am so genuinely excited for this. First, I loved iDrum, and they took that away. Second, I was eventually quite happy with BT as a replacement and they took THAT away (for me, no native apple silicon, I know it works great on Windows still incl Win 11).
So a version 2 is GREAT news. Can only speak from personal experience, but making beats is the weakest part of my compositional skill and products like Breaktweaker have been so helpful to me for years. Now if only Arturia will do a modern update of Spark to Spark 3.... I'll be in beat making Heaven, as that's my favourite drum plugin of all time. A boy can dream.....
I am definitely in for this. I have the Izotope everything bundle AND a separate license of BT. I wonder if there'll be a decent upgrade path. Fingers crossed!

I noticed a discrepancy between the email and their sign up page. From the email: "We're thrilled to have you join the next chapter of BreakTweaker. Just click this link to input your name and serial number of BreakTweaker to receive your 50% off coupon at launch."
On the sign up page: "We're thrilled to have you join the next chapter of BreakTweaker. Just input your name and serial number for BreakTweaker below, to receive your 40% off coupon at launch. Keep an eye on your inbox for updates in the meantime."
It's not that big of a deal to me. I just happen to notice small details like that. Still, I think clearing it up would help to prevent any confusion for those who are submitting their serial numbers for the discount coupon. I'd also like to encourage you to take the survey that you receive after submitting your details. There are some key questions they'd like your opinion on.

Weirdly I have zero emails from Izotope about this which is why I only found out about it from this topic. I changed my registered email with them a year back when I changed ISP. All my purchase details since then (i.e. receipts and serial numbers) came to the correct email, as well as replies to a support query, so I have no idea what's going on, and I don't have any spam filers enabled at all because it's an email I only use for plugins, that's it. No one has it but maybe 35 devs.
I guess I will contact them. I no longer have access to the OG email, that's long gone as I wasn't gonna pay 75 bucks a year to keep it, which would have partly negated the price of moving to a cheaper ISP. Hopefully I'll get a reply and they put me back on the mailing list, which I am signed up for. Who knows!

I’m really curious to see what the devs from unfiltered audio do with the basic idea of breaktweaker. They tend to have really interesting ideas. Creative people who come at things with different perspective

Whenever I use BreakTweaker, I pretend I’m Autechre for 10 minutes and then delete it until the next time I want to pretend I’m Autechre.

BreakTwerker would be a better name, but whatever, just give me that 40% discount.

after destroying it's value from what it was like 300$ to 15$ by iZotope, I feel this should be a free upgrade for BreakTweaker 1 users.

probably. BT has a tendency to take on too many projects. release something then let it die with no support or fixes. I have Break Teaker and all the addons original, never use it other than some of the samples that were included and use in another program or plugin. often I don't use it at all. If v2 comes out I'll wait a year and see if a heavily discounted product is available. would not be a 10 ten upgrade purchase at all.

This is the main reason I always recommended pick it up. The sample library is dopenoiseboyuk wrote: Wed Oct 23, 2024 9:38 pm Breaktweaker 1 had a pretty good factory library of WAVs. That was always worth ten bucks.

That would be a great pity. Maybe they were just trawling for serials for v1.fuse wrote: Fri Feb 14, 2025 12:01 pm The link https://pages.soundlabs.ai/breaktweaker-2/ is dead.
Is it cancelled?
If it does magically appear and can load the old packs, I'm in. I'd like to see a less fussy GUI, though.
I started on Logic 5 with a PowerBook G4 550Mhz. I now have a MacBook Air M1 and it's ~165x faster! So, why is my music not proportionally better?
