Very curious if they''ll still send a statement normally on October 31st for the September period claiming "The total balance of bla bla will be paid according to the terms of your contract" as they already did in the last statement, again lying and breaking their own contract

Post

I just received the following message from DR via the suport center:

"This message confirms that the Due Diligence requirement has been completed as designated by our Compliance team. I'll let you know once our Accounting remove the hold payout in SAP."

I hope this means that payments will now be processed again.

Did you receive a call for bank account verification?

Post

I had that due diligence call mid of september.

Later (after asking where my paymenmt are) on october 11th they wrote
"Please know that we are fully aware of the situation and are working diligently to resolve these issues as quickly as possible. Our team is investigating the cause of these delays to ensure they address them effectively and prevent such occurrences. "

Sounds like bla bla,.. to me
I think they are just staling.

-$259 on his card statement. (minus 259) I told him that's the refund but I don't think he believed me. I think he thinks I'm trying to scam him. I'm sure he'll figure it out.
Yes, triggering refund might be straightforward but convincing users to repurchase is not.

From DR? No. I just filled out the docusign form they sent me a month ago, after ensuring that it was really from them.

They wrote the same to everyone, exact same words, copy-paste. Our Due Dilligence form was completed successully and confirmed in mid June already and then a guy called Joe Gohr asked for a number to call to verify the bank account. This was iend of June. He never called since. No answer on answering the email anew either.

This guy:

From what I read also vendors who actually got this call and verified their account didn'd get any money either. It's all a pure scam going on. NOBODY was paid.

The grotesque thing is that that WE are treated like potential criminals wile THEY themselves act ciminally and break contracts all the time at the same time.

"but convincing users to repurchase is not."

I've thrown in 10% discount code to incentivize them. We'll see soon how that works.

50% just say no or don't reply at all. YMMV

I would like to remind everyone who has dealt with the Due Dilligence form: please check carefully - If it's the same docusign PDF that we received, it is a contract that includes liabilities for the correctness of information you provide, and grants an absurd range of rights, like the right to share any information with "affiliates" without spelling out who these affiliates are. At the same time it does not even state with whom you are signing this agreement. "Digital River" is just a brand, it's not the legal entity, which would be "Digital River GmbH" including full address and registry information as required. As business owners there is no way we could possibly sign such a random piece of electronic paper. It is only reasonable to assume this wasn't a casual omission - for the scale of DR business that would be an inexcusable mistake that should have triggered immediate correction. So the only conclusion is that the PDF was designed as a distraction, and our sole obligations are to ignore it.

Yes, it all appears very obscure - everything about this company has become somewhat fraudulent and suspicious.

E.g. ist it at all allowed for a company to offer no possibility for business partners to directly email or call the company by phone? I very much doubt that...

In Germany, each commercial website must publish an "Impressum" including its contact information (street address, e-mail, phone number) along with general information about the company providing the website (name, business number, name of the manager etc.).

But there is no obligation to actually answer the phone, apparently.

First customer reported that money arrived (credit card payment).
Refund triggered on 23th of October, money received on 26th.

Yes, it looks like as AI-generated random answers.
I've got the new one (when I said "no, you do not need new DD, you have all the information"):

"Hello,

I apologize for the wait on this matter and thank you for your patience while I reviewed your Due Diligence status with our Compliance team.

I am able to confirm that the last Due Diligence docusign review for your MyCommerce account was completed on January 18th, 2023. Because this review was completed within the last two years, we have now submitted the payment review request to our Accounting team so that your account can be paid. We are working to get that processed as quickly as possible. In the meantime, the actual docusign documentation (not the review noted above), we have on file for you, is over two years old and will need to be updated. The Digital River compliance requirement for Due Diligence docusign completion is now every two years. At your earliest convenience, we invite you to complete a new, updated copy of your account's KYC form through the link located here."

I wouldn't pay attention to their requests.

Every two years this whole kafkaesque bulls**t again? And money blocked for months each time again?

It really starts to become completely mad with their paranoid savety craziness. Today there are probably more lawyers than businesses. I start to believe the only goal of all of this is to destroy the small businesses.

The question is if we'll ever see our money again at all or not
