got this a few days ago and dont care how accurate it emulates the original cr-78, but its amazing how far you can go only using this simple machine with some processing. after searching and demoing drum machines (synths and sample based), i actually found all i needed here.... as too many options overwhelm me, with this thing, i had real fun programming drums again after i lost that joy for a good while. love the presets too!

the yet missing possibility to use the built-in-fx + mixer in conjunction with multi output though would be the....*drumroll*... cherry on the cake. sorry ill show myself out.

This silly little cherry audio plugin is much too expensive for what it is. This should be a freebie, just like the minipops (her cherry)

I like the sound of the CR78 more than any other drum machine and I'm really happy using this plugin to play along my bass... much better than a metronome.

So I don't do well with just talk/discussion I need to actually hear things. Hopefully it's OK to post actual examples of things in use? Or maybe it's not OK as it would flood out discussion? These guys used the Cherry CR-78 on this song:

I actually avoided coming back because I felt like I broke some rule and was going to get heat. I really wish people would post examples more.
