i could get midi to it but i could not open it in logic, Mpc beats, or FL studio as an AU or VST.
PG-8X as an audio unit works and has been working in Logic. If you're on silicon, you need to open Logic in Rosetta mode, have it successfully scan PG-8X, which it should. Have Settings/Privacy and Security open (scroll down to the Security section) in the background as you may have to give PG-8X permission to open. Then put Logic back into silicon mode and PG-8X will be in your list.
not on silicon

well you are obviously far smarter and more cool. than I
i'm on a 2019 MBP running Ventura 13.5.2 so maybe that's part of why I'm having issues.
Pretty much sampled all the stuff I needed by now. Still scratching my head over why when I load PG-8X it is massively out of tune...oh well.

Not really a matter of cool. You can run the PG8X component version on your rig using Kushview's free Elements as a wrapper.

I have it running on Cubase 13 inside Element
(https://kushview.net/element/download/)
on an M1 Max on macOS 15.0.1. Cubase is in Rosetta mode. It works like a charm.

Click on the area below the plugin's image or scroll all the way down then scroll up, a list will show up with the download links.

Hi, new user here. Any chance to have a step by step guide to do this? I have downloaded and installed Elements (VST3), but now?

Cubase 12, MacOS Monterey, iMac Intel

Thank you, Mario

Element is a host. So it likely has an option to set a folder where your plugins are and scan for them. It should be clear from there.

Hello Mr Lüders

I'm using your great plugin PG-8X. Everything works perfectly with Logic 10.5.1, which is how I use it. But Cubase 10 no longer supports 32-bit plugins. Is there a plan to upgrade this really great plugin to 64-bit for Mac or is there already a 64bit plugin somewhere?

Thank you for your information
