Question is, this or Kult? Or is myth "enough" to get wierd?
Need to prioritize one, leaning towards myth though..

Including the Unfold expansion pack for Myth. Presets by Spektralisk and Hydratek: "The concept was to deliver a vast collection of musical, instantly usable sounds that if desired can be completely transformed and mangled into complex, atonal soundscapes, textures, and drones - sounds that unfold into the unexpected. Blurring the line between music and sound design"core wrote: Thu Oct 31, 2024 11:14 am The Tracktion store is also having 50% off everything Halloween Sale, so should be good.

Myth is far more expansive since literally anything can be an oscillator.cyberboycoolen wrote: Thu Oct 31, 2024 11:29 am Question is, this or Kult? Or is myth "enough" to get wierd?Need to prioritize one, leaning towards myth though..
You also have the modal and resonant features in myth and a much more open ended architecture.

I see, thanks. Yeah even though kult seems cool, I think I can achieve "similar enough" results in other synths after demoing it. Still great, just not "weird enough". And as you say, anything can be an osc in myth..kraster wrote: Thu Oct 31, 2024 12:28 pmMyth is far more expansive since literally anything can be an oscillator.cyberboycoolen wrote: Thu Oct 31, 2024 11:29 am Question is, this or Kult? each of Dawesome monsters are quite diffrent.
they all have long and full featured trials so I guess everyone can chose without any pressure...
asking won't help. better hear and experience personally.
I love and use and explore each of his plugs but the order of most used for me
these days is:
Novum
Myth
Kult
Abyss
but again, full long trials! for everybody.

Myth is absolutely brilliant for rhythmic stuff too.
Just put in a trimmed loop and apply an LFO to it and set the rate to whatever bar count matches the loop.
Then apply modifiers etc to it.

So will you give Myth a second chance, Simon.Sampleconstruct wrote: Mon Apr 22, 2024 4:17 am At the end of the day it all boils down to sound (and GUI) aesthetics, some folks will like the krrsssfrmmppshhhhzzroarrshttzz delivered predominantly by the Iris oscillators (no matter what you feed them with), others will think -> WTF is this supposed to be, give me a sine wave instead. I for now have failed to join the MYTH cult and will move on.

Of course, as soon as I've returned from a current concert tour I'll demo Myth a second time and maybe even join the cult, if there is still oneEl°HYM wrote: Thu Oct 31, 2024 7:34 pmSo will you give Myth a second chance, Simon.Sampleconstruct wrote: Mon Apr 22, 2024 4:17 am At the end of the day it all boils down to sound (and GUI) aesthetics, some folks will like the krrsssfrmmppshhhhzzroarrshttzz delivered predominantly by the Iris oscillators (no matter what you feed them with), others will think -> WTF is this supposed to be, give me a sine wave instead.
