Welcome to the the One Synth Challenge:
It's a friendly music competition where you can win cool prizes but most importantly, meet amazing musicians, and learn a lot about mixing, sound design, and more!






**Special Additional Rule & Notes**

• Samples are allowed (for resynthesis in the synth), including factory and your own imported samples (You must not infringe any copyrights).
• If you ran out of your trial, Dawesome has renewed the trial for 90 days, so you should be good to go, just download v1.5!

I don't really know this and hope someone will tell me: Is it legal to record individual sounds or melodies/loops from free synthesizers/samplers and upload it to Myth for processing?

This would depend on the terms and conditions for your use of the synthesizer/sampler in question.
For some commercial soundpacks this may be a grey area, or even prohibited by their terms of use.

It depends especially what you are doing then: normally it is legal to use this for making music as in "a track".

But if you create presets or samples and want to sell them commercially then this is often not covered by your license / terms of use. If in doubt better consult the author and get written permission.

It restarts for the new 1.5 version. They can also restart it for you if you're still having issues, as I've witnessed with someone else having the same issue on their Discord

Of course not!

Just install 1.5 - once your demo period expired it will be prolonged till the end of 2024
As the new re-synthesis fundamentally changes MYTH I think it is only fair to give everyone a new trial.

With all the Discord liveliness I almost forgot the thread itself already. Pfff... what a stunning beast we get to explore and what a brilliant example for why I love the OSC alone for introducing new synths to me I haven't heard about. What?
So, yeah, this is going to be some adventure for sure.


I'm already splashing around in this thing and couldn't be happier, while great first days can be a scary omen. ...at the very least about the time that's left this month for anything else.
