Send them an invoice with registered mail, including

- open payments/debt
- fees and expenses (see reg-mail costs, add handling costs)
- administrative costs (charge a reasonable number)
- to be paid within 30 days from invoice date

Remind them to fulfill the contract, not the new one that's not valid, but the existing one, otherwise legal actions take place.

Good luck!

This makes me wonder how reliable it is to use Ilok for copyright protection purposes? Imagine they one day decided to switch off the servers and suddenly all licenses of paying customers are gone?
One would hope those companies would switch to another form of protection as soon as possible. Hopefully, companies have something in reserve for such events. It's not good for business to have customers left in the lurch (even if it's not directly their fault)

IaES wrote: Fri Nov 01, 2024 10:03 am Above I was saying how good the support is at 2checkout.

But it's not all good with them.

With DR I have a product for $100. If it's sold to a buyer in a different currency then buyer pays in their own currency and my account was still credited with $100.

But with 2checkout a US buyer pays $100 and my account is credited with $100. But if the buyer pays in a different currency then my account is credited with something like $94.32 somewhere along the line when the default USD price is converted to buyer's currency and the buyer's payment is converted back to USD and credited to my account some of my money us going adrift.

I used 2checkout around 5 years ago. Now I remember why I stopped using them.

Anyone using Cleverbridge with a USD account? How do they handle orders in other currencies?
Is tax/VAT being taken from your 2checkout payout? I would assume these are hypothetical prices not accounting for the MoR resale fee. Not sure how DR makes money if you sell a product for $100 and get $100 back…

We’re a US based company now using Cleverbridge and it functions basically the same as DR or other MoRs.
What I meant was that with DR the sale price of my product is $100 and $100 goes into my ShareIt/DR account. Then they take their fee/margin from the ShareIt/DR account before sending the rest to me.

But in the case of 2Checkout the sale price is $100 and only around $96 goes into my 2Checkout account. Then they take their fee/margin from the $96 and I end up with around $92

With Cleverbridge you can choose if your payout is in dollar or euros. Default is dollars.

Tone2 Synthesizers wrote: Fri Nov 01, 2024 5:12 pm Has anyone received August payment or an email that it has been done?
Nope. On October 30th they told the August period payment will come "within this day or up until tomorrow". Now it's Noverber 1st and still no payment. For this answer (which obviously was a lie) they charged $37 support fee...

I think we should charge them OUR wasted time because of THEIR issues too with $185 per hour...

By the way, since DR Gmbh is a German company then the contract must be written in German language? I remember, only the very old contract was available in English and German.

Post

Nope. It can be any language.

is anyone else having a message like this when trying to login on
https://account.mycommerce.com/
"Sorry, your Control Panel access is currently not active!"

Yesterday it was still active.

Luckilly we refunded all customers already. We sent cancellation letter and wrote that v6.3 msa was never valid. Letter were sent by registered mail to their cologne and a copy also to their frankfurt adress which were both confirmed to be delivered (with an additional info by dhl that they forwarded all letters to another location, but we can not see new forward target adress).

Later they confirmed on service-now that our account was closed with date is 14th of oct in their service now portal. That was in fact the only message i ever saw there which was not only marketing blabla excuse ....

we also exported all conversations there as printed pdf and downloaded all other files etc. but we have not yet received a statement for september.

But as a hint for all other users here: as long as portal is still active for your account, download also all files, export whatever you can and print you servicenow communication to a pdf before they also close your account which i expect soon to avoid more people using their automated refund system.

here is the message from service-now.

Hi Team,
Our internal team confirmed that your MyCommerce account was closed on October 14th

Post

Yes, I've this too. Seems that they want to block us to refund more customers.

Post

Same here, no access, but I did not close the account.

Post

I always used https://account.mycommerce.com/Cp/ to log in and it now works as usual. No refunds triggered from our side, received July payment.

Post

In another display of pure business briliance, did they blocked vendors who already refunded, and not those that still can?

Post

From their point of view, it definitely makes sense. We haven't made any returns and don't plan to do it. And if a company makes/made hundreds/thousands of refunds, then I would block them too (at least temporarily), to be honest.
