Plugin Alliance seems to have silently canceled the dynamic discount for license transfers.
Therefore 20 USD for every transfer, no discount anymore.
This is the death of the PA second hand market.
RIP.

I’ve never considered buying a secondhand PA plugin, not even something from Three Body Tech or ADPTR,not worth the hassle. They might as well just remove the re sell policy altogether,it’s insulting, but so is trying to trick people into buying the plugins at full price or giving out vouchers that only work when they don’t have a sale happening.

They have made their "loyalty vouchers" unusable. I haven't been able to use my $75 voucher for months, because of the new "discount only on one plugin per purchase" policy. Almost every plugin on the site is discounted already, so you can't use loyalty vouchers to buy them.

Their plugins are dirt cheap that already was a big stop to reselling their stuff, I had some plugins that wanted to load off but it simply doesn't make sense to resell them given how cheap you can get stuff from them.

Will be interesting to see how long it takes until the offers in Sell&Buy will respond to this change.
Some guys are kind of indolent and reality neglecting when I read their prices for PA stuff.

Agreed. I have several of their effects and instruments that I truly enjoy using. Sometimes the swing in extremely high or low prices comes across as a bit gimmicky and manipulative.martinjuenke wrote: ↑Sat Nov 02, 2024 12:04 am Will be interesting to see how long it takes until the offers in Sell&Buy will respond to this change.

But I have no idea about what happens behind the scenes in terms of them running a business. At least the price fluctuations are sometimes predictable and that allows me to pick up a good bargain once in a while.
@thecontrolcentre - I’m glad that you said something about the vouchers. I haven’t been able to successfully use the $50 or $75 voucher at all during 2024. And I was wondering if other people are having the same experience. It’s frustrating to keep putting in the voucher’s number, only to be told that the code is “invalid.”

Last time I tried to sell PA stuff I practically couldn’t give it away.martinjuenke wrote: ↑Sat Nov 02, 2024 12:04 am Will be interesting to see how long it takes until the offers in Sell&Buy will respond to this change.

I haven't noticed anything with the 25 voucher, but if the minimum spend for the vouchers is now related to a single plugin only and not the whole cart that would explain it. lame movethecontrolcentre wrote: ↑Fri Nov 01, 2024 12:22 pm They have made their "loyalty vouchers" unusable. But there is currently no BIG sale, just the ordinary permanent buy now trigger.

Yeah I was kinda peeved to see that. Was waiting specifically to use a loyalty voucher I was getting at the start of the month... aaaaaaaaand now I can't reasonably transfer the 7 plugins are waiting for me to finalize them because cost would be way higher than it would otherwise
