hey,
today I tried to get my head around the mod section of Repro 1 and there is something that still confuses me...

why are there the dir/wheel-switches in the middle if I have to set up dir/wheel in the mod target section on the right?

what exactly is the idea there and what possibilties come by that?

1. Start with an INIT patch
2. Move the Filter Cutoff to about halfway

Now...try to add a Modwheel'd LFO to the filter.

3. Set Filt Cut destination to WH
4. Move the Modwheel

Result: nothing happens. Why? No Mod sources are linked to the wheel.

5. Set the Mod LFO switch to Wheel
6. Increase the Amount
7. Move the Modwheel

Result: now you've got an LFO assigned to the Filter Cutoff via the wheel.

What this allows you to do is have "Direct" (kind of always on/hardwired) modulation, that can be combined with modulation that's based on the Wheel position. Like for example, using Osc B via Direct to modulate Osc A's pitch, but then doing a filtered LFO on the Modwheel.

ahhh...... *click* ... now it makes sense.
thanks so much!

The next update will visually separate the 'TO' column from the rest of the modulation section... makes it much more obvious!
