I get what sounds like a short dropout and a reset of the reverb when I flip through presets sometimes. It doesn't always happen.dastewart wrote: Wed Oct 23, 2024 9:36 pm I've just tried it again and it's not creating sound artefacts for me. Not something I really care about but if you do then it may be worth investigating further as it may be something about your setup.
For example, if I switch between 06 Small & Near and 07 Large & Dark (Halls 1), I usually get a dropout and pop, but it doesn't happen every time. Switching between some other ones doesn't do it. I think it does have to do with calculating the new IR.

i’ve seen plenty of obviously great plugins mentioned already and i don’t think repeating them is gonna help anyone, so i’m trying to stick to the gems that i haven’t seen mentioned yet.
perfect room- hands down the most underrated reverb there is. sounds great, works with everything, fits great in the mix every time. but gets no love
perfect plate xl- ever thought “but what would it sound like if this chorus was performed by a soul in hell as it attempted to fight through the demonic chaos to tear into our dimension just enough to be heard in reverse before being pulled back down” well this is for you
unfiltered audio tails- transient ducking rotating bins dumping magic
eos2 if you don’t really know what you’re doing and need something that will sound great pretty much no matter what you do, this may be the one for you
bleass reverb doesn’t look like much but it is a beast, a lush beast. that transform pad that shifts the frequency of the wet signal is weirdly satisfying
i don’t think any of these will run you more than $20

I'll definitely check those out, I got both of those on sale a while back and forget that I own themel-bo (formerly ebow) wrote: Fri Oct 25, 2024 12:06 pm Recently been enjoying the ‘Deep’ and ‘Renoun’ reverbs in BYOME/TRIAD.
I tend to reach first for Cinematic Rooms or Tai Chi lite, or Supermassive, but there's certainly nothing "wrong" with my other verbs, including the ones that come with Logic. I'm not all that picky, I hear differences in verbs but I normally can't say this one is better or worse than another. I do get that some blend in a bit better (that whole "transparency" thing) if you are after a more natural space sound.

It's 39$ all month now. Great prices on Pulsar.Audio all around.kidslow wrote: Fri Oct 25, 2024 6:33 am Pulsar Audio Primavera for $39 this weekend on PB. Excellent reverb at an excellent price. Done and done.

Indeed. I think the second sale started right after the PB sale ended. They sort of fooled with the early bird BF access bull. Would they had offered at a slightly lower price. But I still might buy 1178, given enough time to demo it.

How about SoundToys SuperPlate? I have Little Plate but I never picked it up. I can get it for $39 right now but I don't think I can demo it separately.

Phonolyth's Cascade is great for unusual types of reverb, somewhat akin to Blackhole, but with more control over parameters.
Every day takes figuring out all over again how to f#ckin’ live.

I have them both on my ipad sort of installed as extended demos. What type of material do you think really shows off the greatness of Cascade over Blackhole?chagzuki wrote: Thu Nov 07, 2024 12:46 am Phonolyth's Cascade is great for unusual types of reverb, somewhat akin to Blackhole, but with more control over parameters.
