Nice! Good old WA!
I lost my heart in Cap de Creus

Sounds good and I appreciate the free reverb from WA. The product page says this though:

"Magic7 brings you all 234 M7 presets in pristine, true-stereo clarity."

And it only installed 20 presets, so I wonder if that's that just an issue in the install or is there a way to pay for the additional presets? Not clear what's going on with the presets but I like the reverb and very cool of WA.

Post

Probably means all the M7 reverb presets, not 234 Magic7 presets.
Nice freebie; thanks WA :tu:

Yeah not trying to complain, just trying to understand if I missed something because I am a preset junkie. The description says:

"Magic7 brings you all 234 M7 presets"

Maybe I screwed up the installation somehow or maybe they mean something else by it like you can recreate the original presets. But yeah I need to shut up now, it's a nice freebie.

you have 11 reverbtypes. each has about 20 variations like „percussion air - 0.5sec“. so that adds up to 234 presets from the m7.
has nothing to do with the magic7 presets.

Ok makes sense. Thanks for explaining that.

that's nice, would be great if someone could thoroughly compare to Seventh Heaven Pro

Thanks indeed. I had a proper play around with it tonight, and ended up replacing all the reverbs in a current project with Magic7 verbs. I haven't really tried the rooms and small spaces out in anger much but they sounded good on first listen. But of course I went straight for the big spaces, churches, splashy plates etc and...ooooh lovely. Very lush. Obvs I never touched a real M7 before but this compares considerably better than a (limited) folder of M7 impulses I have. I think Valhalla Vintage might get shunted out from my goto reverb by this - it sits beautifully in a mix. I find Valhalla lush and very Lexi-character but often too bright on its own without some Eqing or filtering. With Magic7 you just dial one up, and it sits in the mix perfectly and will tolerate high levels.

This is a great freebie and will definitely make me look at some of WA other stuff more closely. TBH they weren't really on my radar, but they are now. :tu:

Sound way too dark on a piano, and missing more control for low and high freq
Seventh Heaven sound sound way better wityh a low cut. But still not my fav

Great freebie with a lot of options! However, all of WA's reverb plugins have this problem in FL Studio: turning the mix knob to 0 reveals that the incoming signal is summed to mono, with no workarounds. There is no way to get a stereo signal at mix knob zero through these plugins in FL Studio.

If any developers see this, is this maybe a relevant discussion?

Could just be a line of code.

They've just had to release an update with a fix for a mono issue for their other new plugin, Tapewave. That was FL Studio specific too. So, I would assume those things are most likely related. I'll contact them about it, since I have something else I want to ask them about at the same time.
Until forever fades away.

nice one
ducking works great and easily
but
i can't help but think if it might be a convolution thingie ?

at least a 119MB file gets installed called "AudioResources.dat"

haven't found any further info (if convolution or algorithmic) on their site...
