is there any XY - frequency shapers (VST) out there?

something as in:

X = input frequencies (1Hz - 48kHz, or can be 20kHz)
Y = output frequencies (same frequencies)

kind of like a waveshaper (amplitude in, amplitude out mapper) but for frequencies. I reckon it must exist within the range of the recently trendy "Spectral plugins" but i don't see an option when looking yet. Even better bonus if i can actually map the scale or offset of the XY drawing to an automatable parameter. Thanks for anybody helping!! :D

So is this like a LUT for frequency? That could lead to chaos really quickly. I'm interested.

But I think I have the GRM tool similar to this and I never did anything useful with it. It sounds like FFT transient smearing that I don't really love.
Come to think of it, doesn't Infiltrator do this kind of thing too? I should experiment more.

One of the Melda effects (MTransformer I think...) does this and so does one of the GRM tools plugins (warp I think). I'm not in front of my computer. There's a few things that also have specific transfer functions like "mirror".

I dont think this exist in spectral domain, but there are various multiband waveshapers...and also spectral compressors
otherwise - very interesting idea for sure and maybe a gap in the market, too!

oh wOWzies! I'm bamboozled, those GRMTools are fantastic for my alien-planet immersive sound design projects, as well as what i wanted. Because every parameter is MIDI-mappable, i can also automate the frequency shifter with a keytracker like i wanted, and create intricate timbres that don't revolve only around linear frequency shifting (hello gamelan, and other alien worlds) !!

GRM plugins also use this 'scene' crossfader at the bottom. Kind of helps with the controlled chaos.

Geez.. using a Bitwig modulator keytracking that crossfader.. super cool.

All the GRM tools stuff is great fun to modulate. They also have built in modulators (basically lfos) that can do some cool stuff. They're great fun in an FX selector once the modulation is all set up to get lots of crazy bit to resample etc. I often nest them in the bitwig delay's feedback also, which can do some very crazy stuff (make sure to use a limiter to protect your earballs).
