All of their reverbs are convolution based. But they do some stuff so they're not entirely static.

An algorithmic Bricasti emulator would be HUGE and most certainly not free.

Great for a freebie, especially with built in ducking. Thanks WA
I wonder what happens if I press this button...

Really nice reverb. Still trying it out, but a few initial thoughts:
- with the push 3 connected, it shows 7 or 8 more parameter controls than on the reverb’s UI! For example there’s a parameter called “modern” that shows on the push but which I can’t see on the reverb (unless I’m missing a hidden page on the UI?)
- sounds lovely but the “smoothing” parameter doesn’t sound good to me when I turn it up. Introduces weird bumpy noises and artifacts. I probably just don’t understand how to use it and need to test it more - if someone could weigh in with some guidance , that would be appreciated.
Really really nice reverb. I can’t believe they gave this away free! Awesome!

as far as I know, "smoothing" is a transient shaper before the reverb. try it on transient heavy material.Writetomichael wrote: ↑Sun Nov 10, 2024 4:09 pm Really nice reverb. Still trying it out, but a few initial thoughts:

I don't know what to write here that won't be censored, as I can only speak in profanity.

As someone with zero experience with a real Bricasti, and who hasn't used any simulation of one nor IRs, sounds good to me on certain things. So far I really like it on drums/percussion and on guitars, and I could see using it quite a bit on anything where I don't need a "transparent" verb (Cinematic Rooms and Tai Chi lite are kinda my go-tos).
I am also curious about comparisons to 7th Heaven, as I was considering using loyalty vouchers to get that this holiday season. If this is pretty close, I might upgrade Tai Chi Lite instead (or I may do both )

Great freebie here
User on GS with the hardware says this nulls closer to it than the liquid sonics stuff... comparison samples and everything.
Not overly fond of the LS guy, hence I am not a customer, so I have no comparison to them...

Haha no way! It sure does sound good to me - and I was actually thinking of picking up 7H from LS before I saw they released this, so they’ve saved me some money.
I’d have used it more this week except for the fact that I’ve just got the Blackbole immersive via the $49 upgrade deal and it’s kinda amazing.

According to Dan from Wave Alchemy...
"Yes, that's right, the cause is exactly the same as that of Tapewave in FL Studio. We will provide a fix for that later in the year since it will require a lot of testing as to not break mono-stereo operation in other DAWs like Pro Tools."
"Like toilet paper, we're on a roll."
