Personally I don't think they were planning on closing down their DR GmbH. It must have been reasonably profitable. But other subsidiaries, for example DR UK, were not so profitable.

They wanted to switch the DR GmbH to a 60 day payment cycle (ie delay payment) so that they could use the cash in the GmbH bank to help other struggling subsidiaries.

They also layed off a ton of support staff with the intention of switching at least the first line support to AI thereby saving themselves a ton of money.

But more staff that expected left including senior developers which left DR GmbH with nobody to keep their system working. Also they didn't reckon that we would all leave so quickly.

So, whatever DR GmbH original intentions were I don't see how they can recover now - unless they are paying the Merchants that generate more than 50k per month and those big merchants do decide to return to DR.

But. As I said. I do not know. It's just what I feel.

Got paid for August today. No email notification. Over 10k.

Post

Just got "Monthly Payment Notification", August payment should be less than 10k.

This whole situation is absurd. No communication , no trust. A master class in how not to run a business. Well done.

Outside of EU and US, received July payment. KYC completed in July but now ask for ownership data again.

And we don't receive the Aug payment. Not sure it is about this ownership data or something else.

Has anyone already migrated to another MoR provider?

We’re currently evaluating alternatives but are unsure which one to choose. Our options include 2Checkout, Paddle, and Cleverbridge.

All of them are good alternatives. Apply to all. In fact, not all of them will approve your application. We got declined by 2Checkout (for no reason) and Paddle (product not allowed).

May I ask those who received payments for July and August: When did you stop using the DigitalRiver platform?

We switched to FastSpring on September 6th. We haven’t been paid for July or August, and we still haven’t received the payment report for September from Digital River aka Element5.

Received July payment and August payment notification. We moved new customers to the new MoR, but kept the current subscription with auto-renewal in MyCommerce.

Payment notification email received this morning - after they already paid the August period yesterday.
So sync seems to be off a bit...

That sync was always off. If that was the only thing that's not in sync here...

This publication is from 2022. Scroll down on this site below until you see the pics of Keith Bush (President) and Barry Kasoff (CEO). Click on the pic of Barry Kasoff and you get this info:

"Barry Kasoff is the CEO and owner of Digital River."

EDIT: But yes, the new CEO of the geman sub-company Digital River GmbH is Keith Bush (used to be John Murray). You can see this in the entry for "Digital River GmbH" in handelsregister de in the "AD" item. Kasoff is the CEO and owner of the master company.
