I have them both as Ableton Live racks- that works great for meenCiphered wrote: Fri Nov 08, 2024 11:03 amAh, that’s a bummer! I hate working in Kontakt too, but Revolution and Drumvolution are truly exceptional, and somehow I still end up using them more than Triaz. Those GUIs are just gorgeous!DrGonzo wrote: Fri Nov 08, 2024 8:13 am I just bought Revolution and I completely forgot it's not standalone![]()
Well well. At least it wasn't expensive and I support some very fine sound designers.

They are working on the Native version of it now though. All quiet on when it will be. Maybe beginning of next year? Triaz was February this year. And I don't know if they already specified if it will or won't be free for existing owners of the Kontakt version, but seeing as Triaz was, there is hope!DrGonzo wrote: Fri Nov 08, 2024 8:13 am I just bought Revolution and I completely forgot it's not standalone![]()

I hope they update Triaz soon as possible . For now is almost unusable with third party samples.

Really? Thanks for letting me know. That's excellent news. Maybe this transition will go faster than with Triaz, but in either case I am in no hurry. I don't know I just can't stand working in Kontakt and I wish more developers would make standalone versions of their libraries, especially Sonic Coutures drum libraries.Choikdoi wrote: Fri Nov 08, 2024 3:53 pmThey are working on the Native version of it now though. If I remember right, Wave Alchemy mentioned somewhere in this thread that they plan to create a native version of Revolution as well (surely they can build on their Triaz investments). But I think they mentioned that it will not be a free update, as they plan to also extend the content (more drum machines) a lot.

Symbolic links don't seem to work with the browser in Triaz (user samples folder). Is there a workaround so i don't need to copy drum samples into the Triaz user samples folder? cheers

Symbolic links work fine here (Win 11 / Bitwig 5.2.5). It's been a frequent mistake that people have been looking in the Preset Browser (header area of GUI) for their samples rather than in the Sound Browser (Sound Page, left of GUI). Any chance that's the issue for you?sqigls wrote: Tue Nov 12, 2024 10:09 pm Symbolic links don't seem to work with the browser in Triaz (user samples folder). For people who own Triaz, is there an option to upgrade to the instrument bundle? I can't see it so I messaged support but haven't heard back. If there's no upgrade option during the sale, that's understandable

i load the plugin, init preset has a kick sample called "short click", i click on that name which brings up the sample browser, under 'all user samples' there is nothing.
AAAAAAHHH!!!!
Hit the refresh symbol button.... derp
now scanning !!
ok, now i need to learn about the tagging aspect. getting there
so it seems the browser has grouped things according to the name of the folder (eg. all subfolders named "kick" are placed into the same main category. OK! handee. It's been about (no joke) 20 years since i've used samples so the training wheels are back on
thank you eecrumjr77
