Cherry Audio's next synth is (probably) a Polivoks on steroids

Hmmm... this thread has gone quiet again. Maybe it's time I called someone a c**t to fire it up for a few more pages? I don't want to do that, mind, but it may become necessary.

So that anyone who is interested has a better chance of seeing this thread and knowing that Atomika exists and is wonderful.

I read the manual yesterday's night and played around a little. The possibilities for sound design are good, much better than any comparable analogish synth that I have. They did great additions in the filter section compared to the hardware and they help a lot in getting great results.
Cherry Audio has surprised me with this synth (PS20 as well). Just a general question. If you have their modular system, can you use Atomika or other synths as modules? Something like Reaktor? If that the case, I would be interested in their modular system as well!

Bones you can call me whatever you want...I'm a teacher I've been called everything (almost every day). EnGee if you are talking about Voltage Modular then yes, if you have the plug-in host module, which comes with Core I believe...Just went off sale so you might want to wait for the next one, probably won't be long. The still have the 3 for $99 but I don't believe VM is included.
Now don't think you're the only one who harbours a self hate

Are you suggesting that there is no greater insult than being called a "teacher"? Hard to argue. I honestly can't imagine why anyone would want to do it. It's the one job you know exactly what you're getting into when you leave school, but people do it anyway. Mind you, 12 weeks annual leave and 6 hour work days for $130,000 a year is pretty tempting.

130k? Can I move in with you so I can work where you are? I work much more than 6 hours a day and we are on a 9 month contract so it's not annual leave...Honestly I use to love my job and I get paid to coach Association Football (soccer). But these days it is not a very good gig...they always come for the teachers (there is a song there I think). I only have a year to retirement (which is really the best financial incentive in teaching, I make considerably south of 100K) then I can pursue being a rock star full time. Oh, and the insults range from the quaint "you are so boring!" to the classic "F*** you M*****f***er" I am happy when they have the creativity to say something new.BONES wrote: Tue Nov 12, 2024 11:32 pm Are you suggesting that there is no greater insult than being called a "teacher"? And to stay with the OP. Another thing I like about Atomika is that t is a breeze to make a good sounding patch...I have only been dabbling with sound design for a short time but it is actually hard to make Atomika sound bad...not that I can't mind you.

The FM knob is a bit... aggressive, quite possible to go into skronk territory there without wanting to.bobbackwards wrote: Wed Nov 13, 2024 3:11 am And to stay with the OP. I remembered that I bought something or it was a gift with something maybe, Voltage Modular Nucleus! But I don't think this version that enable me to insert an instrument. I might get Core when there is a discount but first I will check how to load Aromika or other instrument in Voltage Modular!bobbackwards wrote: Tue Nov 12, 2024 10:13 pm EnGee if you are talking about Voltage Modular then yes, if you have the plug-in host module, which comes with Core I believe...Just went off sale so you might want to wait for the next one, probably won't be long. Yes I have seen this. Thanks.
The thing is I didn't know where to find this module. After some search inside Cherry Audio's website, I found out that it is part of Core which is part of a bundle with drums module. Anyway, I realized that I don't really need the Voltage Modular Core just to modulate some parameters of other instruments! I have some modulators in Live 12 standard that really enough to get good results

The plugin host is really fun. I have only used it for FX though.
