This is just lovely.

Most of the distortion modules are missing, so is the modal filter, it's limited to 3 LFOs and 2 ADSRs and polyphony is hardwired to 8 voices. Maybe I missed something.Ah_Dziz wrote: Tue Nov 12, 2024 6:01 pm What all is stripped out of it? 1 iris, the resonator and MPE is pretty much all I need. I suppose the prices and features will be announced moving forward.

I had lots of issues with quanta crashing etc (most of the newer AD stuff wouldn't run well on my system). I have lots and lots of granular stuff but the resynthesis in myth sounds more like a spectral phase vocoder type of thing which I dig. I also really like endless modulation and good MPE implementation. The original release of myth gave sort of so so results while importing samples and was pretty heavy on the CPU as well. With the updated resynthesis (it maintains the pitch and spectral envelope of the source) I have lots more uses for something like Myth, but now that there's going to be a "small" version I may just wait for that. I'd guess it's lighter on resources anyway and if I need more irises I can just layer things in my DAW.
If the various extracted envelopes of samples (amplitude, pitch, tone/ noise ratio etc) were available as mod sources, or if they could be imported to a mseg or lfo shape, then anyone could use these modulation sources to apply properties of one sample to another or make a resonator triggered by Iris 2 follow the pitch of Iris 1 etc. I'd be all over that in a heartbeat even if it destroyed my CPU. The way everything is implemented right now is still pretty cool and a good step up from the initial release version IMO. I'm still not certain I need it though considering the crazy amount of gear I've already got.

Its also one-eyed; but as we know, among the blind the one-eyed is still king.Sampleconstruct wrote: Tue Nov 12, 2024 6:23 pmMost of the distortion modules are missing, so is the modal filter, it's limited to 3 LFOs and 2 ADSRs and polyphony is hardwired to 8 voices. the tutorial from S1gns of life really helps understand the layout and workflow, strange thing is why it needs 30-60 secs to import 1 Wavetable wav for v2 resynthesis for me.... some samples which are longer take 20 secs or so. pretty slow somehow, takes a lot of time just to test various samples sadly.
it would be like Pigments with 1 OSC or something... hmmm who knows, seems PEter knows the buyers better!
thx, still dunno why anyone would need something like this and dont get the full version

Not currently. A workaround is to save an OSC/module preset and load that in the other OSC - click on the burger menus in the OSC or modules.

This thing fires my imagination! But I hope that Peter intends to add MIDI Learn on all those diminutive controls. I'd much rather push sliders or twiddle physical knobs rather than fiddling around with the mouse!
If it were easy, anybody could do it!

Thats really cool and showcases what this synth can do, but… oh myyy… what happened to this guy?! Halfway through every parameter tweak, he slips into another dimension, possessed by the spirit of uncontrollable giggles! As if he’s on a wild joyride powered by pure synth ecstasy and maybe a dash of alien crystal meth.
Is he okay? Should we be concerned?
