New in Logic Pro 11.1
New features and enhancements
With the new Quantec Room Simulator plug-in, add the legendary sound of the most acoustically accurate reverb ever created.
Channel strips can now be re-ordered directly in the Mixer.
Plug-ins can now be searched for and added with a Key Command.
Beat Breaker now includes a Bypass Below control that you can automate to allow low frequencies to remain unprocessed.
Sampler now offers a new command “Create Zones split at Transients.”
Multi-track AAC files are now supported.
The Input and Output assignment fields in the New Track Sheet are now searchable.
Plug-ins or sends can now be easily removed from a channel strip in the Mixer by Command-clicking them.
It is now possible to select multiple tracks along with regions using the Marquee tool.
The Join Regions/Notes command now works on selected Flex Pitch notes.
There is a new Record setting in the Track Inspector when Internal MIDI In is active that allows incoming MIDI to be recorded along with the internal MIDI.
In Beat Breaker, the Time Graph is now shown in the background when the view is set to Volume mode.
Performance is improved in projects with large Scores.

I wonder if they've bought up the Savant Audio Labs versions; I'll have to compare them. Good thing I was never tempted to buy the Relab.
Every day takes figuring out all over again how to f#ckin’ live.

There's some major changes in terms of performance. Projects are taking even longer to load (it was bad enough before), but once loaded they seem to run a lot more efficiently. The UI responds differently. It's uncanny, because everything looks almost the same but also quite different. Maybe I don't need to update my MacBook after all... except for the damn loading times.
It's a unique experience playing huge projects without the constant audio overload.

Nice, we can finally move tracks in the mixer and I love the new BIP and search functions. Room simulator sounds good too. Still waiting for ARA2/Melodyne to work…

No, they got the IP from Quantec and implemented the plugin directly from the source code and schematics, according to Apple. The other devs didn't have access to Quantec IP, they made their emulations independently of Quantec.chagzuki wrote: Wed Nov 13, 2024 11:52 pm I wonder if they've bought up the Savant Audio Labs versions; I'll have to compare them.

Wow. We can finally move channels in the mixer. Something Logic user's have been asking for, for at least 20 years. I'm not looking a gift horse in the mouth. I'm glad they added it at all.

That’s from Apple’s press release.

Well, I'm happy for the update. I have had the designs for these features before they were added in my 10.8 concept. Don't want to sound full of myself, but I hope Apple saw it once and (delusional-ly) I want to say that at 19 I influenced a major product lol (I probably didn't, the feature ideas were on the surface for most people, but I'll be better thinking this way).
Congrats to the Rellingen team! Maybe one day I'll be working there too. Dreams do come true they say?

I dunno I'm on Sonoma and I'm not seeing it either.jules99 wrote: Thu Nov 14, 2024 8:31 am Just wondering, I'm on Ventura 13.6, is this update compatible? Because I'm not seeing it in the app store.
[edit] Dammit Apple that's some idiot moves on your part!
So what you have to do is after finding Logic in the App Store open the preview instead of seeing the thumbnail with the "open" button on it, you see the update button once the Logic page is loaded in the App store because f**k UX! we do what we want!
