Though Nexus is good quality sound plugin, but developers behavior to customer is quite sh*tty and untrustworthy. It is the only plugin developer which I know, who can blacklist your account for critics or politics without access to paid Nexus plugin. For me personally it is no go.

there must happen "a lot" of conversation and bad behaviour from the user in the ticket system, before refx support crew bans the account. And this then only means future purchases. They never block previous purchases. This happens rarely, not more than 1-2/year. And yes, as we all know there are always some complete psychos somewhere in the world.

I don’t know about the developer politics, never come across it…but for me support has been good and I appreciate all the Xmas free gifts. I’m looking forward to the update.

Never had a problem with reFX or their customer support myself.

reFX’s geofenced move just affects one (huuuuge) country right? Bad luck. It’s almost like sometimes in life a people suffer because of where they are…

2 weeks til release!

I don't think this guy is from pointed country.

And if Google "refx banned" or "blacklist "or "blocked", you will see it is not seldom accidents.
I didn't see this behavior from another music companies. Manuel is trying to protect refx, but his company Vengeance Sound didn't do it with their customers, even during copy protection shitstorm, which was quite mad.

Post

Sorry Stan i don’t know what ‘pointed country’ means. They’re banned people for arguments with them. I know. Don’t need to Google it.

I was just asking if the political (as you call them) bans only applies to your country.

I didn't want to delve into politics. It is forum for musicians and it is often quite helpful. Just wanted to point that though Nexus is great sounding and very useful product, newcomers can get problems later because of ReFx bad attitude to customers.

Don't mention politics. Got it. I won't.

When a customer pee in your shop you get it out by calling the security, it is the same thing with ReFx, irrespectful customer is banned.

Wrong comparison. If customer bought your product and say that product is piece of shit, he is still allowed to buy another one, even if you personally not like his words. That is how professionals behave.

Nope, if you disagree with your client, you can want to never take his money again, it is your choice.
Anyway, what is important is the few percent of customer banned, we can't say ReFx is bad with customer relationship, if it was true, they will close their shop

A business is just 'some people' and if you own a business you can do what it want. You ultimately reap the rewards or pay the price. I doing blame them at all, Personally I only want to do business with people I like/enjoy working with, I have turned lots of potential repeat customers away, its QOL over money.
