Requires macOS 14.4

And it is so good
I wonder if they've bought up the Savant Audio Labs versions; I'll have to compare them. Good thing I was never tempted to buy the Relab.
No, Apple actually bought the QUANTEC IP. They own it now. They aren't kidding when they say it's the actual original code.

You can click the quantec logo to get a nice little popup about the history of the units.. and at the end it says Apple bought the IP.

EDIT: oops.. looks like I'm repeating what others have said already. Sorry.

I skipped macOS 14, so I am only seeing 15.1 in the Software Update section.

I really want to update to Logic Pro 11.1, but I wonder if all my plugins will work fine. I planned to upgrade to 15.x in a couple of months, but it will have to be a forced macOS upgrade for me.

Any thoughts? No critical projects going on, but I hope the ones I am working on will work as before.

Yes, you can just download whatever macOS version you want from the App Store.

I've experienced no plugin compatibility problems with macOS 12 -> 15, they simply haven't been breaking things that plugins rely on, generally. macOS 15 is just as solid for me as the previous versions have been.

I also had to update to OS15 to get the 11.1 update and have noticed no compatibility issues either. Totally worth it for this Logic update!

Thank you so much friends. Good to know that macOS can be installed from App Store (didn't think about it). All my questions answered in the comments above. Much appreciated. :tu:

I have started the Time Machine backup. Once done, I will upgrade macOS (mostly macOS 15). Can't wait to update Logic Pro! :)

EDIT: Done upgrading macOS to 15.1 (from 13.6.7) and updating Logic Pro to 11.1. Seamless experience throughout and everything looks to be the same as before. Hopefully there will be no surprises.

This update is way better than 11.0, no comparison actually. There are only 4-5 things that make it so much worth it.

- Plugin search, especially with the key command
- Removing plugins with Command + Click
- Channel strips reordering
- Setting buffer size from toolbar
- Bounce in place additions

Next, I hope Apple focuses on the Loop Browser for 11.2. It's still a pain and deserves attention on priority.

I would also love to see some Mixer UI updates, which I can't pinpoint as such right now.

Anyway, time to have fun with 11.1!
