What's on your Black Friday radar?

Two weeks to go till BF and I've got Black Friday Burnout already.
In most threads I say I've got everything I need and am satisfied with my setup.
But there's so many good deals it's enough to wear you down.

For the first time I don’t feel GAS in Black Friday time (or any discount period).
I’m just waiting for Ableton to upgrade from Standard to Suite. Cubase 14 might be on April. That’s it. Even if there isn’t any discount, I’m fine with what I have.

Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

Yep I'm mostly over at vi-control looking at orchestral stuff and it's giving me anxiety with all the amazing sales. You ask about product A vs B, both on sale, and someone comes in with "don't forget about C, D and E" and all of *those* are on sale.felis wrote: Fri Nov 15, 2024 7:52 pm Two weeks to go till BF and I've got Black Friday Burnout already.

Synth-wise, I'm almost hoping Synapse doesn't have a sale. I don't need Legend HZ, I have other moog emulations, Diva and others. I want Legend HZ.

Nothing at all. Just making some music with what I have probably.

I've never been an Orchestral Tools fan...their stuff is laughably overpriced and that "SINE" player sucks big time...but they seem to have some good quality stuff and their orchestral "Berlin Inspire" series (both 1 and 2) complement each other and are on sale now for $274, which seems fair for what you get, although it's limited and not a traditional orch offering, but can be good if you already have one. I think.
I don't "need" an orchestral library right now, but I don't have a go to and it would just be fun to have to try out some things.
Still waiting for a good choir sale.

I was hoping UVI would have a good sale on their soundbanks now that I have Falcon. Looks like they're "only" doing 30% off. The Internet says they've done 50% off in the past. Now I'm on the fence about picking up Glass Orchestra.

Maybe something I should mention here is that MOTU usually offers DP at a crossgrade price of $200 USD at this time of year -- but there have been rumors and surmises at Motunation.com that MOTU might announce DP12 at NAMM 2025 -- so please keep that in mind. Wouldn't want anyone to upgrade to DP11 just before the grace period for DP12 starts.

DP is on version 11 now so unless i missed the joke which is certainly possible.havran wrote: Sat Nov 16, 2024 3:38 am Maybe something I should mention here is that MOTU usually offers DP at a crossgrade price of $200 USD at this time of year -- but there have been rumors and surmises at Motunation.com that MOTU might announce DP13 at NAMM 2025 -- so please keep that in mind. I'm just glad it's someone besides me talking about DP. Probably my wild speculation on DP12 over at motunation. DP11 is coming up as the longest gap between versions, (right now 3y 4m, longest gap was 3y 6m) so really likely IMO that DP12 comes out in the next couple months.dayjob wrote: Sat Nov 16, 2024 4:40 amthey are gonna skip 12 and go from 11 to 13? If you want more than 2 products it would bring it to 50% off.parma wrote: Sat Nov 16, 2024 3:32 am I was hoping UVI would have a good sale on their soundbanks now that I have Falcon. Yeah, I just bought Orchestral Suite and threw in a couple Falcon Expansions for essentially free to get the extra 20% off. It was $104 without them and $112 with them
I'd considered grabbing Drone but then remembered I had Modwave Native which is likely much better at it anyway.
