I think it's important that Stan comes on every reFX thread bitching about them and that somebody posts that same video again.

I remember the starter pack to be around 200USd in some Black Friday sales. Someone correct me if my memory is wrong?

Stan, I support your great work!
You couldn't offend me if you tried, son.
Thanks for the applause. I'll be asking reFX for a commission, apparently.
All the best!

Not all clients, just a few annoying people that they don't want to waste time on in the future (and from what I heard I don't blame them!) - I applaud them for putting QOL before money.Stan Navi wrote: Thu Nov 14, 2024 12:01 pmrevvy wrote: Thu Nov 14, 2024 11:53 am I think it's important that Stan comes on every reFX thread bitching about them and that somebody posts that same video again.

As a business, you can choose who you do business with. While more customers usually mean a good thing, a business is under no obligation to do business with everyone and anyone.Stan Navi wrote: Thu Nov 14, 2024 11:39 amWrong comparison. If customer bought your product and say that product is piece of shit, he is still allowed to buy another one, even if you personally not like his words. That is how professionals behave.carrieres wrote: Thu Nov 14, 2024 11:21 am When a customer pee in your shop you get it out by calling the security, it is the same thing with ReFx, irrespectful customer is banned.
A business is after all an exchange of value, you pay money in exchange for product/services. Like you are under no obligation to spend money at every shop you enter, a shop is under no obligation to take money from every customer that enters. When someone thinks that "refx" products are no good and they don't want to buy it, likewise refx can also decide if "someone's" money is no good for them and they can choose to reject it. While money has a global value, the means of acquiring decides the value for a particular individual and if they decide it's not worth it, then they won't do business, simple.

I have been a customer on refx for like 20 years give or take and always had great customer service from them.

Wow this is a day 1 upgrade for me; very exciting. N4 was already a great upgrade with the ability to see the routing and such. This is even better.msvs wrote: Tue Nov 12, 2024 6:50 am as posted already above... the biggest gamchanger is this: its now 100% open architecture! You have the same possibilities now as we sound designers had. Means, you can change every preset, create new from scratch, you can open and use all samples from old libraries and XPs. There are tons more improvements, which will be posted soon.

Looking forward to the 29th, it's a long time, really too much to wait.
But the wait will be well worth it.
Great work from ReFx.
Always been loyal to this company
Once again, excellent service and always friendly, professional and helpful.
A company that I really appreciate.

I've had my fair share of truly shitty experience with reFX. The absolute low-water mark was when the original Nexus 1 was released and I wrote a slightly critical review of it (great sounds for dance - not much for making your own sounds) for a magazine I was working for and they got absolutely furious with me.
But that can true for every company. Right now Crunchy Roll made a big effup and for weeks they blamed me for the issue. When I found the proof the effup wasn't mine they became awfully quiet and stopped responding to my mails
Nexus is a cool synth with cool presets. Crunchy Roll have some cool anime. I don't have to be chummy with them for enjoying their product. It absolutely helps, but I can live with their behaviour.
Really looking forward to N5.
