Zyklop is great - really streamlined, so it’s easy to jump into without getting overwhelmed. It has just enough modules to shape almost any sound. And if you want to go deeper, you can always switch to Myth. Having this little beast for free is such a treat.

Thanks, I'm glad you're into it!Caine123 wrote: Thu Nov 14, 2024 9:34 pm wow this is crazy i thought this would be sold but free? wow.
Honestly, I’ve gotten so much from the synth community over the years—especially from places like KVR which is a treasure trove ( ... though sometimes it could dial up the friendliness a notch or two, but hey, it’s all part of the charm
When I first started making music, I was so broke I could barely scrape together the basics. I had to work hard to pay for my music lessons and my first instruments. So I know how much it means to have good tools out there for free.
ZYKLOP is kind of my way of giving back to this amazing community that’s been like a second home. Running Dawesome is truly my dream job; it will not make me rich, but it’s incredibly rewarding and keeps me happy almost all of the time.
And, sure, if a few more people stumble upon Dawesome along the way, that’s a nice bonus.
Appreciate the support!

i wanted to send a mail but maybe i can check if others have the same experiences, for me Resynthesis v2 takes sometimes a long time e.g. a 10 seconds Wavetable takes about 30 secs or more to load, is this normal?
thx

This seems a bit long to me. It mostly depends on the single core CPU performance of your computer. On my M1 Pro it takes less than 4 seconds to re-synthesize a 10 second sample.Caine123 wrote: Thu Nov 14, 2024 10:04 pm i wanted to send a mail but maybe i can check if others have the same experiences, for me Resynthesis v2 takes sometimes a long time e.g. a 10 seconds Wavetable takes about 30 secs or more to load, is this normal? thx
The re-synthesis actually involves complex computations - it uses spectral representations, machine learning, cycle detections, switches back and forth between spectral and time domain and pushes (a single core) to the limits. For the math the code uses the fastest libs available on the market, and the math itself is heavily optimised.
Material that has a clear pitch is usually faster. The more complex, noisy and inharmonic, the more complicated it gets for the re-synthesis, as the output is an oscillator, but it still needs to match the human perception.

Just bought Myth... It sounds great, no doubt, but but, am I right to think that there is no envelop follower in the modulation section ? In 2024, seriously ?
I am a bit disappointed, I hope I am wrong...

You're right, there is no envelop follower in the modulation section. But since quite a few people asked for it chances are good that it will be implemented one day. At least I hope so, it would be a great addition.Jac459 wrote: Sat Nov 16, 2024 7:23 am Just bought Myth... As the manual doesn't seem to mention it: what is the maximum sample length that can be resynthesized, is it 30 seconds? I could make a lengthy test myself but maybe I can find a quick answer here?

One thing I've learned as a plugin consumer is that if you learn the tricks you can save money. One trick I learned is to wait. Even when a plugin company starts a sale... wait. Because if you wait, the sale may end up later on a distributor site with a discount. Such as the case with Myth. I held of waiting to see if the distributors would get it... and they did! Some nice discounts out there now on MYTH.
If a plugin company has a sale and their products are cheaper on a distributor site, rest assured that the company agreed to knowingly have their prices undercut by the distrubutor. The bottom line in this case is that the company wants you to get a better deal if you want the better deal so dont feel guilty about it. If you decide to effectievly donate more to the company by buying directly, that is of course an option as well. Buying from a distributor is not "against" the company, remember the company agreed to have their prices lower there, likely for their own self interests to capitalize and exploit volume sales from customers.
