Usage Tips

Optimal Superstereo Usage
To avoid over-widening, start with low values on the Superstereo control and gradually increase to find the sweet spot in your mix.
Mixing in Mono
Use the M (Mono) listening mode to ensure your chorus effect remains balanced and phase-coherent when played on mono systems.
Subtle Saturation
Adjust the Color knob to taste; even small tweaks can significantly impact the harmonic depth and vintage feel of the chorus.

They have like 130+ products now. I think they used all the colors.

"Corn" here is amusing because it's got to be based off the chorus buttons looking like candy corn.

I thought this was going to be one of those free acustica products as it doesn't seem like it does all that much and there are lots of inexpensive (or free) choruses out there. For the money I thought there'd be 10+ choruses to choose from.

I concur. Fortunately, Sonic Anademy JU-60 chorus is free until December 8

What a corny name :D

PS: JU-60 Chorus emulation is free at Sonic Academy at the moment :)
Ableton Live | Pro Tools | Launchpad X | Numark Party Mix II | Arturia MINILAB 3

There's also the free Tal juno chorus

Acon Digital has a free chorus called Multiply. Not a juno emulation but it's very good

I strongly dislike the name.

Anyway, so many good free and cheap options, current fav is J_NO (AUv3 - free and truly awesome), followed by FAC Chorus ($10, AUv3 - 2nd fav), OSL Chorus, TAL-Chorus, the new Sonic Academy chorus, AIR Jura Chorus, etc.

Yes, it is an excellent value. Acustica users (including you) will get substantial savings due to their perpetual discounts based on the number of previously purchased plugins. That could be anywhere from 10% to 50%. So those who buy at the introductory price before December 12th, could get it for somewhere between 67 and 37 euros. Sonic Academy charges $25 and their version sounds worse. Arturia charges $99 for theirs, which isn't as good as Corn in my opinion.

I've tried every one of these Juno Chorus plugins because I like how that hardware sounds. But Corn is the first one I'd be willing to actually use in a mix.

AA’s discount system seem to have a better lifecycle than their own plugins.

Well you are entitled to your opinion. I also tried the demo and simply switching between I and II modes showed that whatever unit they "modeled" doesn't quite behave like the chorus I'm familiar with. There is virtually no change in stereo field width. It's super wide, no matter what you do. Whereas on the original the first mode usually has noticeably narrower stereo field than the 2nd mode.

The Arturia chorus absolutely nails this aspect. As does the Softube Model 84 chorus.

Would also be nice if the mix slider in Corn was actually going from 0% wet to 100% wet. The only way to get a 100% wet signal is to use the delta button. I guess it's a good enough workaround though.

Anyhow, this one just didn't do it for me. Doesn't sound all that good in my opinion. Whatever model they used to sample or model, isn't to my liking. The modulation rates are a bit off somehow and the amount of depth to the modulation is annoyingly a bit on the shallow side, for my liking.

And as usual with Acustica Audio plugins, you get a whole heap of bugs to go with it. All manner of weird noises and strange behavior simply by tweaking the input gain knob and/or the color slider. If that's your thing then consider it a bonus. :)

We disagree about the sound and usability of the plugin. However, your original statement ridiculing the pricing is fallacious.

No it's really not. The actual real price for most people is 120 euros once the intro offer is gone. That IS ridiculous for a single chorus plugin, no matter how you look at it.
