Thank you for checking out my song and commenting, I appreciate it! "Sitting on The Fence" also has u-he Repro-5, Synapse Dune 3, Arturia ARP2600-V, Cherry Audio Quadra, and Arturia Matrix-12V. Are you from a particular state or country? I always wonder when someone reviews my music.

have not had time to install and play them but I just snagged the oddity obx and minimonsta from gforce when they just had them on sale. Hoping to do that when Christmas vacation gets me some time off.

Hey team,
OB-E 2.6 keeps crashing my DAW(s) every time i try to load OB-E.
While my machine is quite old (i7 4790, Win10), it's the only plug which has such effect.

Anybody faced similar behavior?

What version of FL Studio are you running? I'm using an old Win 10 Del optiplex with i5 and FL studio 12.4, no issues apart from the occational spike on epic chords.

So far I was trying to open OB-E in Reaper 5.99 and Ableton 10, crashed in both.
I guess some installation issue, which I couldn't resolve with reinstallation of OB-E

New to Gforce synths, i just bought OB-E and i love the sound of it. The A-D-S envelope both amp and filter are so good to the cutoff! a bit res.. pluck it, pad it, whatever.. somehow sound so good to me. I just do it everytime on group mode because i just know simple and standard sound making.

However, there are still many bugs randomly comes. One time my bass patch lost it low end just randomly after looping for some minuts. One time i was patching, turn lfo1 trigger on and then off and somehow some each of the SEMS start not at the same time.. like some of them were delayed for few ms or something. i don't know if anyone experienced some random bugs as well.

just wanna share my love to OB-E and also my concerns,

I don't recall having an issue like what you are describing. I use Cubase, and Cubase acts up a lot for me. What if you completely turn off your computer, turn the computer back on, turn on your DAW, and continue where you left off? It might behave better for at least a while.

I can’t decide between OB-X and OB-E help me. I have no real obreheim just prophet so I don’t kniw if 8 voice SEM or OBX but OB-E sounds better? I heard stupid rumours about oberhem envelope speed (doesn’t snap like prophet or jupiter8) but these software plugins snap quite good. OB-E envelopes seem to behave better. I am indecisive how to burn money during the big black friday sale palaver. I am getting either of these but dunno wether to listen to my gut or random kvr people

What is your gut telling you?

OB-E is nice in that it gives you a lot of control over the different voices while still being easy to manage. However, OB-X is as straightforward as it can get. I find both ways of working to be good, just different.

Download the demos and see which one you like better. I've read about people complaining the demo time is too short (6 hours or 7 days), but IMO that's more than enough time to evaluate them
before they go off-sale.

Oberheim envelopes are weird -- well, that is, if Gforce are accurately modeling them. I flat out dislike programming the OB-X because I dislike the envelope timing. I can never dial in what I'm wanting / expecting. Most synths, I figure out how they are scaled just 'by feel', it clicks, and I never think about it again. Every time I open OB-X it's like "what the heck is wrong these envelopes??". After endless attempt I finally gave up. I still own it, but I never use it.

So, yeah: I'd get the OB-E.

So it’s not just me. I noticed this too. Wish I could try the original one or if someone possessing it could confirm whether or not the original synth is like that
