And having the on board oscillator as modulation source can produce pretty wild textures. The random modulators are very cool too.

I think we all probably have multiple modulated filter plugins, without counting I can say I have at least 10 of them. I think them all pretty unique and interesting myself. :tu:

Yes, and the lock to scale for the random lfo + the nice rhythm and sub-vision knobs. Can really create nice movement and tones that are lock to scale.

It's really one of the nicest (or wild) sounding effect I got this year.

I've got a few filter plugins, including Polyverse Supermodel which is more of a formant filter AFAIK. I also own their Manipulator, I Wish, and Gatekeeper plugins. IMO the plugins sound good, but interfaces are pretty 'meh', so I wasn't really in the market for another Polyverse plugin, but based on some of the comments here, I jumped on this one without demoing just a couple hours before the introductory price expired.

Happy I did. This seems like a go-to filter plugin. So many different filters and the ability to modulate, distort, and combine them. Threw it on a bass intro and cascaded one of the LPF filters into the RoboComb filter and cranked up the drive... Really made the intro pop. Nice!!!

I have mixed feelings about Polyverse stuff. Gatekeeper gets a bit of use, but rarely touch I Wish, Manipulator, or Supermodel. It's very early, but I could see Filterverse overtaking Minimal Audio Hybrid Filter as my go-to filter plugin. The wide variety of filters, modulators, and killer sounding drive/saturation/distortion makes this is very complete offering.

Worth giving it a demo, even at the full price.

I struggled to get I Wish to reliably trigger at the points I needed it to. Always some unpredictable latency issue. Rarely use it. Manipulator gets a bit more use, although I often find it makes things worse... Supermodal is a great effect but kinda hard to tame. Gatekeeper gets used on every track I write, and Comet can also be really nice- interesting that Filterverse apparently includes the Comet algorithms.

I'm really hoping Polyverse bring all of this into a synth which they've teased at here somewhere. I expect it will be a great piece of gear if they do it...

That's how they got me.

There's a new stream on polyverse youtube channel where Assaf shows 4 new filters that will be available in the v1.0

How is the CPU use on Filterverse?

Post

Haven't tried version 1.0.1 yet, but 0.9.0 wasn't exactly CPU friendly and greatly depends on what you use and in what quantity. It also offers 3 quality settings to choose from. I think that it's one of the few plugins that justifies its CPU usage with its stunning sound.

Wow, the new Evil Filter introduced in version 1.01 is pretty fantastic!

Experimenting live on video with the new Evil Filter, introduced in Filterverse 1.0 using an acoustic guitar patch (Falcon) as audio input, the new reverse granular delay and Space reverb complete the patch.

Great to see this update. Looks even more of a beast now.

Finally, a plugin that delivers for the $99 asking price. Unlike some other companies selling emulation eq, compressors or distortion plugins for $200+ that should be priced around $50.

I follow you on YT. This is one of your best jams, and you have done so many amazing ones. If I hadn’t already bought Filterberse, this would have convinced me to go for it.

Filterverse really does sound quite special. Its core sound is really chunky, but clear. The bread and butter filter sounds incredible and with the addition of all the other modules, it is a really creative and inspiring system to work with.

I love how it lets you play with parallel/serial topologies - I really with other companies allowed parallel filtering - UVI Shade shoots itself in the foot by only being serial when it has so many great filters that are ideal for using in parallel

Filterverse is very much an easy buy and great value on sale
