Appreciate the feedback guys, it has been shared. I think it would be nice to have some more sale items around Black Friday as well.
You might already be aware but the EARTH Piano is currently 80% off.

The ZENOLOGY Pro collection gives you ZENOLOGY Pro and the five Model Expansions at a huge discount. It is already a sale price but I still reported this feedback and we should consider it! I think this was brought up recently on here.
But ultimately I agree, I would love to see more bundles and special Black Friday deals and bundles included this time of year!

I just emailed Roland support and they’re claiming the only Black Friday sale going on is their current play 4 life deal, but no extra discounts on it or anything related to every other company offering sales for Black Friday.
Way to go Roland, you guys never cease to disappoint us.

What do you mean no discounts? Given that they don't do sales on the non-sub licenses you save a ton of money every year you're on a p4l deal. I paid $99 last year for the Pro tier and am getting the $199 Jupiter 4 as the keeper this month. Not to mention having had access for a year to everything else. What the f**k else do you want?trusampler wrote: Fri Nov 22, 2024 4:48 pm I just emailed Roland support and they’re claiming the only Black Friday sale going on is their current play 4 life deal, but no extra discounts on it or anything related to every other company offering sales for Black Friday.

Zenology Pro on sale with P4L-type of prices would be great.DashOfLime wrote: Sat Nov 23, 2024 8:08 pmWhat do you mean no discounts? I just want to be able to use my lifetime keys without the buggy as hell Roland Cloud Manager and the need to phone home every month
In the absence of that, at least total transparency on when the need to phone home is, the actual date and time
Imagine the fun and embarrassment of being logged into Roland Cloud in the afternoon on your home WiFi and then that evening you launch it on your laptop at the paid gig and you can't use the software you paid for that has a "Lifetime Key" because it needs to phone home and you don't have Wifi or cell service.
Fun times fun times indeed
And that's the point, you are not actually owning that Jupiter 4 you think you are. All you are doing is renting it month to month
Roland still requires you to phone home every month, and can pull the plug on the program at any time with no guarantee it will continue to work
If you actually owned it there would be no need for the phone home
As is it makes you phone home after a certain date and time that is a mystery, and then if you do at any point after that time you are good until the next mystery date and time comes around
The problem is you can do it literally moments before that mystery date and time and think you are good, but you are most certainly not
So while I technically own the D50 which is an important part of my music, I really don't as it won't work 100% of the time at the gig if I don't phone home
That's why I sampled my D50 patches and imported them into my Montage which I ACTUALLY own and has no need to phone home as Yamaha doesn't treat me like a thief and make me prove 12 times a year that I actually do own the software you have validated dozens of times before that BTW since I am in America I am forbidden to sell, because to Roland I don't actually own it I rent it

That's a good idea actually. The Concerto/Anthology that was made available for free a while back has some decent samples from some of their instruments. AFAIK they dont need to be authorized over the internet like the other plugins. But I would guess your Montage has much more flexibility than the Concerto plugin has.IvyBirds wrote: Sat Nov 23, 2024 9:48 pmThat's why I sampled my D50 patches and imported them into my Montage which I ACTUALLY own
EDIT: I just checked and the Anthology version of the D-50 only has 4 velocity layers. It's still Ok I guess, but I'd probably sample it a bit more in depth if I did that myself.

I just noticed the Jupiter 8 is $199 now? I thought it was around $149, but maybe they added extra patch banks if you buy it these days (?)...not sure. Seems too expensive, so it would have to be a P4L deal for me to even think of getting it.
The RC Total J-8 has a bunch of banks and it's the same price as the standard J-8.

Yeah those were good, but they were limited to those. I have a bunch of custom patches that I sampled as well as some classic presetsExamigan wrote: Sat Nov 23, 2024 10:10 pm That's a good idea actually. I use a program called Sample Robot that automates the process and converts it to Montage format, couldn't be easier
I have a patch I call "80s Cheese Piano". It's the famous EP patch, layered with Fantasia from the D50, and the famous House Piano patch from the Korg M1.
