I recorded a good number of samples on my Mac with a simple program called Audio In. I then cleaned them up and cropped them into smaller samples to use as hits and kicks and the such. It seems as though the only format Mac can save these audio files as is AIFF. I burned all the data to CD and tried to copy them onto a PC.

I was trying to load them into the FL Studio Sampler and it doesn't work. So I find that it can only take .wav files. I tried to load the file into windows media player and save them as .wav files and it appeared to work. However FL still didn't like the samples even then.

So I'll just ask some questions just to clear up what I'm getting at: Can Macs create .wav files? Maybe it's just the limitations of the recording program I'm using? Is there any way around using only .wav files in FL Studio? Is there any way to succesfully convert an .aiff file into a .wav? Is it just a limitation of FL that isn't in other programs (as in you could load an AIFF into Cubase).

Give this a try.

Or if that doesn't work, there's always dBpowerAMP.
