I like Rapid, but I just wish they could show a bit more progress.
SM3 is actively worked on and already has MSEGs.

I have no problems with Win 11 and Bitwig - Win 10 is EoS next year so maybe worth updating to 11 (its honestly much better than 10 anyway!)musikarldererste wrote: Sat Nov 23, 2024 1:57 pm there are so many good synths out there

Sorry, but the plugin is not a joke. I have never ever experienced a single crash with it (MacOS 14.6). There are so many factors that can cause an issue, hardware and software. Of course it can still be that something on your machine triggers a bug in RAPID while it does not on mine but that does not make this plugin a joke.musikarldererste wrote: Sat Nov 23, 2024 12:58 pm the plugin is a joke
I keep having crashes, the manufacturer said it was my PC, but I now have a new one and still have the same problem
all other plugins I have work
dont invest here
he should close his company
Worst company I have ever bought from

Hope to drop this next year
Sorry. I know the communication could be better.
When you engage with your user base that keeps them interested and engergized and keeps your product fresh in the discussions. Being connected helps both the developer and the end user. Win Win.
I've spent a couple of hours with Rapid this morning and it is no doubt an incredibly awesome, great sounding, and very feature rich synth. Easily in my top five favorites which is why I'm so passionate about its future. It deserves to be talked about far more than it is and engagement helps accomplish that goal
Given this new communication and the great sale price during this time I feel comfortable recommending it as a purchase now. If one doesn't already own Rapid try the demo, I think you'll love the synth as much as I do. I'm going to look into purchasing an expansion or two during the sale if there is included sample content, have to do some more research.
As a heads up this update does appear to remove the VST2 version from your system or at least it did on this system, haven't tried in on the studio system yet.
I usually prefer VST 2 versions if they're available as I generally find them to be more stable and I find no real advantage to the VST 3 format for the way I work. But I will happily use VST 3 if there is no 2 option.

Sorry but I have to push back against this....No, Vital is not free. There is a free version but buying one of the paid versions would have helped support further development. I'm convinced Matt lost interest because people were just sucking up the free version due in large part to posts like yours.
Also no, Vital is not "better in every way". Nothing could be further from the truth. It's a nice little synth but can't compete with Rapid except for the built in Wavetable editor and Text to WT function. Other than that Rapid destroys Vital.
For the record I too am on Win 10 but have not experienced any crashes with Rapid in FL Studio or Waveform Pro 13. My studio system does have a Intel Chip instead of AMD if that makes a difference but it's rare that it would. I do have Bitwig 5.0.11 installed but never use it these days so can't comment on stability in that DAW.musikarldererste wrote: Sat Nov 23, 2024 1:57 pmfor me its crashing a lot , new update dont fix my problem

If you can post steps to reproduce the crashes you're getting I could can try to replicate the issue here.

Rapid in ways reminds me of Zebra (and to some extent Alchemy) a bit in terms of sound quality..
They don't stand out, almost vanilla like, but blend exceptionally well in tracks with other instruments...
Maybe I am lucky but the two things I like most about Rapid is that it is one of the most stable vsts I have... I have only had small bugs with it, no crashes that I can recall either on mac or pc ever, and it is never a resource hog..

Layer Rapid with DUNE 3. They go together like peanut butter and jelly. Layering Rapid with Avenger creates a rip in the space time continuum and yields some truly mind blowing sounds.zvenx wrote: Sat Nov 23, 2024 4:41 pm Rapid in ways reminds me of Zebra (and to some extent Alchemy) a bit in terms of sound quality..

i will never use rapid again , in my opinion its not a good synth
This year I uninstalled all plugins that have as bad support as this company (Parawave)
There are such great manufacturers out there
like klanghelm, Xfer, TDR, Tonebosster,Synaps audio
Then why reward the bad ones ?

All of these supersynths have slightly different feature sets. At the moment, it's looking like Rapid might have the best feature set for my particular needs. It sounds great, and seems really reliable on my Mac at least. I don't necessarily need endless updates to make this something I will get lots of use out of, in fact I'd probably prefer the developer wasn't constantly fiddling around.

So I assume you uninstalled Vital as well since it's been abandoned by the developer who is still selling a buggy version and has completely ghosted his paying customers.musikarldererste wrote: Sat Nov 23, 2024 5:28 pm This year I uninstalled all plugins that have as bad support

The mere fact that peanut butter and jelly is a thing is disgusting, I don't know what's going on with you "United Staters"Teksonik wrote: Sat Nov 23, 2024 4:53 pmLayer Rapid with DUNE 3. With all your capitals and exclamation points and demanding god knows what I just didn't feel like you conveyed your indignation sufficiently. I was just f**king around tbh.
