After I posted that comment I actually thought exactly the same thing...Once upon a time I did find myself more interested in collecting guitars than actually playing them...that expanded over time and the more gear I had, the more I wanted and I found myself spending wayyyy more time on ebay looking for gear than I was playing...thankfully, I got over it, in no small part as I realised how much "gear" I actually had at my disposal through my DAW and a few other software packages.

Tonex cured most of my guitar-related GAS. I've been selling off all my amps and don't miss any of them.

I have Amplitube, Scuffham and an older version of Guitar Rig...How much more does Tonex bring to the table than those aforementioned packages?

And to add to this question - to what extent do you guys use Guitar Rig / Amplitube / Tonex etc - for synths and not just guitars?

Personally, I don't use amp modelling on synths at all...my preference is for clean tones from synths.

Actually had time to spend on music making this weekend, really enjoying my Nomad factory effects (from last year)
Might go for a TDR plug-in or two or just stick and fold
