Hey,
I'm looking for a waveshaping plugin that allows me to write a math formula like Func Shaper does, but in 64 bit. Maybe someone knows a good alternative.

Thanks.

Melda MUtility! It has a free version but paid version has oversampling! (only 2 parameters though)Lash wrote: Sun Nov 24, 2024 7:29 pm Hey,

The Waveshaper in Chow DSP's ChowMultiTool also allows to put in mathematical functions that determine the waveshape.
For me it's an interesting feature, but not one I would use while mixing.
But I guess it's great for plugin developers, who code their own saturation / distortion plugins, since you can test drive various functions before implementing them in code

+1 for ChowMultiTool. Chowdurry makes some great stuff. With chowmultitool, rs-met toolchain & filterdemystifier I think there's great ways for aspiring DSP devs to get "hands-on" with the basics. Remember to have a really good brickwall/safety limiter to avoid infinite gain blowing out your eardrums!BackInCheck wrote: Thu Nov 28, 2024 11:03 am The Waveshaper in Chow DSP's ChowMultiTool also allows to put in mathematical functions that determine the waveshape.

There's this too:
https://github.com/MeijisIrlnd/Transfer
"Transfer is a waveshaper based distortion, except the transfer function is JIT compiled from text inputted by the user. Starting as a tool for testing different transfer functions in other projects, it has evolved into a pretty cool and unique plugin (disclaimer it might not be that unique I have done absolutely no market research whatsoever). It also has a built in gate, and an emphasis filter, which applies the filters to the signal pre waveshaping, then applies the exact opposite filter post waveshaping. Due to popular demand (by popular I mean that one guy on reddit), it now also has has 16x oversampling and you can't turn it off sorry I don't make the rules."

Most definitely. It can safe you from going deaf or semi-deaf, especially when using very "experimental" plugins. I can recommend ICE9 by Cerberus Audio as last plugin on the Stero Out. It automatically mutes the audio if it goes above 0 dbFSDNAudio wrote: Thu Nov 28, 2024 12:10 pm Remember to have a really good brickwall/safety limiter to avoid infinite gain blowing out your eardrums!![]()

Plugdata using the fexpr~ object is the only real replacement .
It can take multiple variables just like funcshaper and lot's of math modules to do the actual processing .
It's awesome
Here I converted one of Funcshaper presets
