Nexus5 will replace Nexus4 plugin, as was the case with previous versions, right?
[/quote]

Yes. But all sounds from the store will then work only with V5.

yes

This is a legendary update for this already legendary software and I will buy the complete bundle <3

Coming to think of it, this was so long overdue, it finally becomes a real synth lol!

Not really. Only new Expansions released with and after Nexus5 release will work with Nexus5. All other Expansions will continue to work with previous versions.

I’ll be curious to test out the workflow. Will there be a demo offered now with the release of v5?

I remember when N4 came out it was the dampest of all possible damp squibs. Enter the Fourth Dimension... of absolutely nothing.

Then 4.5 was a happy surprise. A significant update - had it come was 4.0 the reception would have been totally different.

N5 looks like it's in another league. What has happened to reFX?! This looks fantastic. The only possible thing to complain about is the generic EDM music in the trailer.

A dead cert upgrade. Which is even cheap!

Does the fact that the main page shows a NI Kontrol keyboard mean this is NKS compatible?

Incredible news that Nexus finally opens up 100%

It looks like the clunky zooming/scrolling type of interface in some sections in version 4.5 is gone in version 5. Much needed and highly appreciated.

I heard that tired, done to death music with yet another set of saw plucks and saw leads and was ready to write N5 off all together...there's nothing I need less. Then I got to the part of the video with some of the new preset names and my hopes were raised a little. Alien Scream, anyone?

Nexus (and Avenger to a slightly lesser extent) are really marketed as EDM synths. But they are in the end just synths, and the marketing is just marketing.

I'll be interesting to see if third party devs now embrace Nexus. With the range of new features it should be pretty durn capable. I was squinting at the sample options in the video - I don't see much in the way of RRs or layers, which would limit it on that side of things, but otherwise it looks very capable.

Nexus4 is already NKS compatible (guess it's been since Nexus3?).

EDIT: It used to be, but NKS compatibility was dropped at some point, as confirmed by FigBug in a post in this thread.
