teilo wrote: Thu Nov 21, 2024 5:06 pm I did some quick testing on 7.0.1 on Mac, and found:
Full Bucket plugins are now working.
U-He plugins no longer crash Studio One when I start playing notes.
TAL plugins still have a blank header on the plugin window, but otherwise function.
Surge XT still crashes Studio One.

So some progress.
Do you have any Full Bucket CLAP FX to try in SO7 ?
They're not showing in my SO7 even though Full Bucket CLAP Synths are working fine now that we have SO7.0.1. 👍

Surge XT was working fine for me before.
I shall have to go and recheck.

EDIT
Surge XT CLAP working fine here
My install info :-
Version: Surge XT 1.3.4.f7b97c6
Build Info: 2024-08-11 @ 16:02:24 on 'fv-az292-728/pipeline' with 'MSVC-19.40.33813.0' using JUCE 7.0.12
System Info: Windows 64-bit CLAP on Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-10900K CPU @ 3.70GHz, 64 GB RAM

I'm on Mac, though. Surge nightly also has the problem.

Does the feedback form on clapdb.tech still work? It seems like nothing goes through.

The latest updates from Auburn Sounds add the CLAP version of their plugins :)

At least on Windows.

EDIT: and remove VST2 support. This is an interesting move but... is there something in CLAP that supports VST to CLAP project migration like VST2 to VST3?

Yes, migration from VST2 to CLAP is possible as well as migration from any other format. It's an optional feature of course, but it should be easy to adopt.

Is that something which would need to be implemented by either the plugin developer, the DAW/Plugin host software, or both?

Both, hence my remark that it's an optional feature.

It seems very easy to support though. Not sure if we do it yet, but I know it's been talked about.

Now that VST2/VST3 migration has landed in REAPER, perhaps the next logical step would be VST3/CLAP migration. ANY/CLAP migrations would be nice, but may be too much to ask of DAW developers.

@teilo could you check if the mails are stuck again? I did use the feedback form at the beginning of March (and again a week ago). Seems that at least one other plugin was added in the meantime. Thanks!

I just migrated the site to a new server, and fixed my email notifications. They were indeed broken. I’m using Amazon SES, and they retired the deprecated API that I was using.

For any developers out there: I have added the ability to maintain your own software entries on https://clapdb.tech.

Previously, the developer functionality was limited to pre-filling a couple fields in the Feedback form. Now it is possible to do basic add / update / deletes on your entries.

If you already have a developer account, look for an email describing how it works.

This is great news! Thanks for adding that option

The database seems to be stuck. Are there no additions since June?

I found a sub host that can load and wrap not just CLAP but a bunch of other formats - sort of a Swiss army knife - comes as synth and fx versions - not in database
