Nexus4 is already NKS compatible (guess it's been since Nexus3?).
Awesome - does it also support Poly Aftertouch?

This is not correct. NKS compatibility was dropped at some point. It you still have the NKS files they still work. But they are not created for new expansions and are no longer distributed.

There is now a 3rd party that creates NKS files.

I don't find that here. I just checked, unless there's a separate installer somewhere, it's not working in Maschine 3 / nor Komplete Kontrol 3.3

This is cool! I always assumed Nexus was a rompler and didn't know about the synthesis features.

Can we get some info on the dsp? Eg: Does it have analog modeled filters?

Nice! Nexus 5 just launched! Downloading now!! I decided the last minute to jump on Nexus 4 from version 3 a couple of days ago for $49 so I could get the Nexus 5 update free instead of paying $79. Not even on the website yet as of this post. :D

Almost two decades later, it is finally open.
Better late than never! Nice!

Not only is it open and has a synth engine. I've also just realised you can import samples too!

I really like the idea of using this as my own custom romper stacking different sources.

I'm guessing being open will now put a different perspective on the choice of expansions people buy..when they catch on anyway!
Buying not for presets but for the samples within.
Overall I'm impressed and upgrade fee is fair.
In fact looking at the prices for new users if buying in the sale I think that's a good deal.

I'll never understand the people who complain about it being expensive. Just because there is an option to buy the full package it doesn't mean anyone should or would need all that

Hi, this workstation looks very good :) I have a question though, does it support MPE? Is CLAP and per-voice-modulation support planned?
