Has anyone worked out how to use velocity to modulate oscillator parameters? I can see velocity in the layer matrix, but the oscillators are not part of the layer. The main mod matrix doesn't seem to offer velocity as a source.

On it, will be fixed asap.wintoid wrote: Fri Nov 29, 2024 6:23 pm @FigBug I also have an issue. I've logged a ticket for this.
In my case, trying to use the LFOs to modulate the oscillator detune, it works fine with LFO1 and LFO2 but LFO3 and LFO4 just get stuck.

If you are ok with fairly course control, in the sample editor you can create 1 variation for each velocity zone. They will be spread evenly from low to high velocity.pierb wrote: Fri Nov 29, 2024 7:07 pm I've seen some expansions like Hollywood Piano allow for velocity layers and RR.
Are these features available in Nexus 5 too?
Not in expansions but in the multisamples editor.
If you want more fine grained control, you need to set the velocity range of the oscillator. And then use a different sample for each velocity zone.
Create several variations in the sample editor for round robin.
Look how it's setup in the Hollywood Piano if you have it, and do the same.
We will continue to edit the manual and do some tutorial videos for the more in depth features.

You will need to use the layer matrix, but you can not control oscs individually. You can use the destinations that affect all oscs for the layer. I'll put in a FR.wintoid wrote: Fri Nov 29, 2024 8:04 pm Has anyone worked out how to use velocity to modulate oscillator parameters? I'm not really a preset guy, so I would want to know one thing before the purchase. With the standard factory version I'll get not only this over 5k presets, but also access in the sound design layer to all samples that these presets were made with, so I can make my new own sounds with them, right? And the same goes for all expansions I'll buy in the future? If so, it's an instabuy for me.

And can I freely use all samples used in presets (factory and owned expansions) to create new presets? Or do I have only a limited pool?Demuvi wrote: Fri Nov 29, 2024 9:15 pm Just to clarify.

You can bundle them in a zip, sure. But for me, BULDING an expansion is a file that can be installed and look like an official expansion and not zipping presets, samples and wavetables in different folders, where people don't really know how to install.
That was exactly in the mail "you can BUILD your own expansions". Where do i build them? With WinZip?

thats bs
you can create your presets and bundle them in a folder
all you will be missing is your custom official icon. That is not (yet?) possible, but on the other hand not very important, since its not a limit to build your own soundbank.

You can use samples from any expansion in presets you make yourself. The only thing you can't do is pull apart the included multi samples and get the individual wave files.bandulu wrote: Fri Nov 29, 2024 8:27 pm I'm not really a preset guy, so I would want to know one thing before the purchase. Mind you, if you want to share your preset, whoever you give it to will need to own the expansion the samples came from.

I've been testing out the features and the sampler section is very confusing to me.
How do you set up multisamples like this?

EDIT: I figured out how to add multiple keys and samples, but I can't figure out how to set the range of the highand low keys. I see them listed in the Sample Info, but am unable to change them.
I don't get why I can't just change of each sample zone by sliding in the sample editor or by just typing it in the Sample Info window.
I'm attempting to make a drum kit and it's not very clear how this works.
Am I missing something? The Reference Manual doesn't mention anything about it.
